Situated in a prime beachfront location, Mandarin Oriental, Muscat is a chic urban resort that offers 150 stylishly appointed guestrooms and suites, five restaurants and bars, a lush Spa at Mandarin Oriental, and an outdoor swimming pool. The hotel features a one-of-a-kind ballroom boasting spectacular views of the Arabian Sea as well as a variety of banquet and meeting spaces to accommodate social and business events<p><br></p>The Pool Assistant Manager contributes to the operational and financial aspects of the pool restaurant operation. He/she offers support to the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the overall organization, insuring the implementation and consistency of the company standards.<p><br></p><strong><u>Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited Too</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Ensure that restaurant team have good knowledge of food and beverage and take responsibility for the delivery of this knowledge to the guest.</li><li> Ensure that all staff arrive for and finish shifts at correct time.</li><li> Develop strategies to ensure staff are correctly managed and staff problems can be remedied.</li><li> Ensure that tables are arranged and set up accordingly.</li><li> Ensure that service stations are correctly arranged and set-up.</li><li> Ensure that all staff are familiar with correct billing procedures.</li><li> Arrange daily meetings for staff/attend daily meetings.</li><li> Attend all training sessions arranged by MO.</li><li> Ensure up-to-date training materials are circulated to relevant staff.</li><li> Ensure small groups of VIP guests are catered for according to MO standards.</li><li> Ensure correct quality and presentation of all dishes and drinks is being communicated to staff.</li><li> Conduct and attend all meetings in absence of managers.</li><li> Ensuring that outlet operates efficiently and profitably while maintaining standards. in terms of food, service, health & safety and reputation.</li><li> Supervise F&B service by directing and guiding his/her colleagues</li><li> Ensure that the restaurant area is adequately staffed during his/her shift and to notify his/her superior of any shortages in line with budgeted targets.</li></ul><p><br></p>Whatβs in it for you?
