Plant/Workshop Manager – Tunnel Project

Job Description

My client are a leading international construction company who are currently working on the construction of a new tunnel project in saudi arabia using the drill and bast method. They are looking to recruit an experience plant manager to oversee more than 20 items of heavy equipment for Drill and Blast tunnelling in 9 tunnels under execution at the same time, he will oversee resolving all mechanical issues on the surface, as well as underground mechanical issues when required. The role will involve;

Assign responsibilities of the Workshop personnel.
• Define and update a detailed equipment maintenance and repair plans and schedule giving priorities where necessary.
• Ensure on time request for necessary workshop personnel, materials, consumables, and equipment.
• Manage repair and maintenance of project’s equipment to minimize downtime.
• Ensure that equipment is kept safe and in good condition after their release from the project.
• Manage Workshop (repairs, inventory, resources, etc.) in a cost-effective way.
• Ensure that Workshop personnel are being developed and utilized as per their qualifications.
• Ensure compliance with respective corporate policies and procedures and local laws and regulations.
