Planning Section Head
Job Description
The Planning Section Head is in charge of leading activities related to system planning, with a particular emphasis on assessing and monitoring the Emirate’s supply security, as well as reviewing and overseeing the development and implementation of mid-long term electricity and water production plans.
路聽聽聽聽Furthermore, the Planning Section Head is responsible for ensuring proper monitoring and management of energy sector challenges, as well as consistent mitigation practices.
路聽聽聽聽The Planning Section Head is also in charge of assisting the Sector by highlighting key strategies for managing and monitoring risks to the energy sector, such as those related to energy security, technology, political, economic, environmental, and social factors.

Assist in the preparation of the annual system outlook report and manage the annual and mid-term assessment and monitoring of challenges to the Sector’s energy security of supply and continuity of service, including provision of recommendations on strategies and measures to mitigate any such challenges
Support development and system integration of new production facilities and the new nuclear and renewable energy program.
Representing the company in its daily interaction with Sector Licensees and other Sector authorities and stakeholders concerning system planning. Providing comment, review, and strategy input on technical issues relating to all future system developments in the Sector.
Develop and maintain a good understanding of energy sector developments and operations to support system planning and reliability assessment framework.
Work closely with the relevant sector companies and represent the Sector in the respective committees and the associated working groups.
Skills
6 to 8 years of experience in the energy sector, including energy strategy and policy development, sector planning and operations, sector economics, and sector risk management.
