Pilot FW DHC-8 SP OCONUS – 14710
Description
SUMMARY:
Responsible for conducting crew member training and evaluations, standardization administration, i.e. flight records, AWIS, publications and references. Monitors flight instruction to include aircraft transition training, annual proficiency reviews, and flight evaluations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Participate in the selection and training process of new crewmembers into the Program.
– Conduct academic and hands-on performance training and administers evaluations to ensure crewmember proficiency and standardization of training in addition to maintaining individual IATFs and completing AWIS entries.
– Ensure all DHC-8 RCMs and NRCMs are fully integrated into the ATP, train and evaluates RCMs and NRCMs in their designated aircraft.
– Ensure compliance with all Standardization Directives, Aircrew Training Manuals, and ATP requirements.
– Develop individual flight training plans in support of the organizations mission and ATP.
– Oversee maintenance of crewmember flight records, weight and balance calculations, and risk assessments.
– Monitor crewmember proficiency in phases of mission planning and flight operations to ensure compliance with policies and directives.
– Maintain knowledge of additions and changes to all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documentation integral to contract operations.
– Train and qualify crewmembers to fly all approved DHC-8 missions.
– Assigned duties as Pilot, Pilot-in-Command, Standardization Pilot, Air Mission Commander, or Flight Lead.
– Performs routine travel within Iraq, elsewhere outside CONUS and also within the CONUS s required.
– Position requires a U.S. Security Clearance.
– Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
– High school diploma or GED.
– FAA Commercial and Instrument Airman’s Certificate Airplane MEL.
– FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
– Current FAA Class II Medical certificate.
– FAA CFI/CFII/MEI.
– Successful completion of FAA Type Rating Course in the selected type required before assignment
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
– 1,500 total fixed wing flight hours including 500 hours of turbine engine time, and 500 hours pilot in command.
– 300 hours multi-engine instructor pilot or check pilot time.
– Unrestricted Type Rating.
– Minimum one (1) year experience managing a flight training program.
PREFERRED:
– Prior US Military Standardization Pilot.
– Prior Instructor or Standardization pilot support to the DoS INL/A program.
– Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) rating from the FAA.
