Vista is seeking a Photography Retoucher to join its Creative Services team and support the production of high quality photography assets for our worldwide marketing and web site campaigns. In this role, the Retoucher will work closely with the in-house photographer and imaging team to prepare and deliver new product photography into our digital asset management (DAM) platform. This role will focus on preparing product photography for use within our scene rendering platform, in addition to day-to-day image retouching responsibilities. To succeed in this role, you must have a strong eye for detail, be comfortable with learning new technologies/tools, be highly proactive, and possess strong Photoshop skills.<br><br>The Retoucher is also a key member of our new product launch team and will play a key role in helping to launch thousands of new products on the Vistaprint web site. In addition to your Photoshop and retouching skills, you should have experience working on high-visibility projects within a fast-paced environment. This is a production-level role and requires an energetic personality to consistently deliver a high-volume of work.<br><br><strong><u>Key Responsibilities<br></u></strong><ul><li> Upload, format and prepare product photography for use on our proprietary scene rendering platform for Vistaprint.com </li><li> Retouch, color correct, crop, and upload product photography </li><li> Retouch digital images according to style guides </li><li> Mask parts of products </li><li> Strong color correction skills to ensure color consistency across all images per product </li><li> Strong attention to detail </li><li> Crop digital images and maintain file size specifications </li><li> Support and maintain digital asset organization within the company’s digital asset management (DAM) tool </li><li> Upload images to digital asset management (DAM) tool in accordance with established procedures </li><li> QA of images on scene rendering platform and take point to investigate/resolve any technical and creative issues </li><li> Perform quality assurance on all images </li><li> Receive creative direction from designers, photographers, and senior retouchers and make corrections when necessary </li><li> Suggest ways to constantly improve the workflow. Take initiative and be proactive about helping the retouching team and other studio teams. </li><li> Complete any other ad hoc imaging duties when required </li><li> Some data entry required <br></li></ul><strong><u>Essential Skills<br></u></strong><ul><li> High technical proficiency in Mac OS X, Photoshop, and Wacom pen tablet (preferred) </li><li> High proficiency working in MS Windows environment and using PCs </li><li> Ability and desire to learn additional technologies and applications </li><li> Strong knowledge of masks and masking techniques </li><li> Proficient with Photoshop’s pen tool </li><li> Complete understanding of smart objects </li><li> Strong retouching and color correcting skills </li><li> Proven experience retouching product photography </li><li> A complete understanding of layers. Including but not limited to, modes, adjustments and structure </li><li> Excellent eye for detail </li><li> Proactive, motivated, dedicated, and able to take initiative </li><li> Deadline-oriented, flexible, organized and able to handle competing priorities </li><li> Strong written and verbal communication skills </li><li> Strong collaboration skills in order to work effectively with a team of designers, project managers, engineers and marketing associates </li><li> Sense of humor is a must <br></li></ul><strong><u>Education &amp; Experience<br></u></strong><ul><li> Visual Arts, Design related degree and/ or equivalent work experience </li><li> Expert knowledge of Adobe Software suite </li><li> Prior experience working with a digital asset management (DAM ) system is a plus </li><li> Proven ability to work efficiently and produce a high volume of retouched images </li><li> Proven ability to work to strict deadlines in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment <br></li></ul><strong> Our remote _first-culture : <br></strong><ul><li> In 2020, Vistaprint adopted a Remote-First operating model and culture.
