PG Logistic Head

Job Description

You as a PG Logistic Head will be part of Hitachi Energy business unit of Power Grid High Voltage based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia will be reporting to Country Supply Chain Manager. Oversee &amp; lead logistic activities for all LBUs in the country and support business to achieve their operational targets.<p><br></p><strong>Your Responsibilities</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Planning: -Utilizing various transportation software systems to facilitate material movement, planning and scheduling. People Leadership and Development: – Accountable in organizing logistics activities, staff management and provide proper direction &amp; development to the team.</li><li>Scheduling: – Preparing and updating monthly logistics schedule to ensure deliveries to production locations and coordinates product delivery schedule with customers.</li><li>Tracking: -Coordinating daily activities to track location and movement of inventory finished goods and raw materials via all transport modes, and re-routes freight as needed to meet demands and minimize cost. Communicates fulfilment status to Logistics and Sales organizations as appropriate.</li><li>Service providers: -Working closely with transport service providers to assure efficient and effective execution of processes, assists in obtaining necessary transport.</li><li>Data Management: -Supporting the development and implementation of improved processes and systems and maintains master data.</li><li>Living Hitachi Energy core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Your Background</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>University degree, MSc, in Electrical Engineering or Business Administration.</li><li>At least 5 years of relevant experience in a management position in Logistic Operations. An experience in Saudi Customs requirements or other GCC countries.</li><li>Preferably if worked in an international environment.
