Job Overviwe
We are seeking a Petrochemical and Refining Licensing Specialist to join the Technology Support of LTC Readiness and Sabic Interface Department.
The Technology Support group is responsible for providing technology support and consultation to the Liquid to Chemicals (LTC) Projects. We sponsor the development and commercialization of R&DC technologies from SABIC and Aramco portfolios with focus on the crude to chemicals technologies. We ensure compliance with Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and Carbon Neutrality (decarbonization) targets for the LTC program.
The Petrochemical and Refining Licensing Specialist’s primary role is to lead the technology licensing and procurement strategies activities; provide technical support to multiple project teams; and develop project specific documents, e.g. invitations to bid (ITBs) and technology selection tools (TSTs).
Duties and responsibilities
You will be required to perform the following:
- Lead activities related to the technology licensing process and procurement
- Provide technical support for capital projects involving petrochemical units at various stages of execution (pre-feasibility, feasibility, basic and detailed engineering)
- Lead the strategic evaluation of licensing agreements
- Assess new and emerging crude to chemicals technologies
- Actively participate in a knowledge sharing network
- Act as a professional mentor to developing specialists and engineers
Minimum requirements
The successful candidate will have the following experience and competencies:
- Bachelor in Chemical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline; a MS is a plus.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience with a petrochemical or refining licensor. Experience should include time spent in developing licensing agreements and procurement strategies.
