<p><strong>About Heenat Salma Farm</strong></p><p>Heenat Salma Farm is the pride of Caravane Earth. A farm in the middle of an arid and desert climate, it is now fertile land producing multiple types of vegetables, fruits and flora. Heenat Salma Farm is a place to create a community for education and social engagement, spreading the values of regenerative agriculture and permaculture practices. Our concept is unique for this region, with the potential to redefine and reconceive how we interact with the land. To achieve this objective, Heenat Salma Farm requires a passionate and dedicated Permaculture Specialist to lead and develop the concept further. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>The Role </strong></p><p>The Permaculture Specialist will be responsible for design, implementation, maintenance and sustainability of the pedagogical gardens on the farm. The Specialist will work with the existing farm plan to optimize the farm infrastructure, including agricultural zones, date trees, greenhouses, ponds, shop, outdoor facilities, etc. The Specialist will also be expected to support external advisory projects. In addition, the Permaculture Specialist will be responsible for creating permaculture curriculums, and delivering workshops, seminars and lectures to schools, universities, and other parties visiting the farm.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities </strong></p><ol><li>Provide daily oversight & management of the pedagogical gardens.</li><li>Co-ordinate daily schedules and work planning for education team.</li><li>Create and design curriculums on permaculture, gardening, harvesting, composting, and other fundamental agricultural and farming concepts.</li><li>Building relationships with schools and designing programs.</li><li>Creating partnerships and collaborations with both domestic and international organizations.</li><li>Provide design concepts for external projects that arise from time to time.</li></ol><p><br></p><p><strong>Education </strong></p><p>Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) from an internationally recognized organization or teacher</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Experience</strong></p><p>Five or more years of experience in Permaculture Design Teaching, and/or Consulting</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Competencies</strong></p><ul><li>Passionate about nature and the environment and able to share that knowledge.</li><li>Fully aware that permaculture design involves more than gardening and farming, is an integrated design system involving all aspects of human settlements, and not simply an agriculture/gardening set of methods/techniques.</li><li>Resourceful and able to think creatively to get maximum value from a limited budget.</li><li>Highly-organized with great attention to detail.</li></ul>
