Job Summary

Our Client is a Catering & Support Services company based in Abu Dhabi.

Scope and general purpose:

Pastry Chef used their understanding of ingredients and food preparation to craft recipes and create baked goods. They measure and mix raw ingredients, bake and decorate items, and ensure that all raw and finished goods adhere to quality and food safety standards.

Main responsibilities are:

•    Shall ensure the regular production of confectioneries, pastries and sweets as per the requirements.

•    Shall liase with the Head Cook on the required menu and quantity.

•    Shall maintain highest standard of personal and general hygiene in the bakery section.

•    Shall apply his expertise and bakery techniques in cooling the freshly backed pastries and cakes by placing them on provided aerated racks.

•    Shall ensure that the bakery equipment are thoroughly cleaned after use, are kept free of flour, dough and dust and are functional and well maintained.

•    Shall ensure that the bakery scales and clocks are good condition.

•    To wear company issued dress/uniform and shall be responsible for the upkeep and security of the same.

Educational qualifications:

•    Trade certificate in Food production or apprenticeship in a recognized hotel or catering company/ School certificate

•    EFST Certificate

Professional experience:

•    Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Catering Company or a 3-5-star hotel

–    Food and Accommodation provided by company
–    2 Years Renewable Contract
–    All candidates must be willing to work Remote camps/Outside city 
–    No Overtime provision available
–    Salary AED 3500
