Job Description
<p><strong>Job Title:</strong> Oracle Apps DBA</p><p> </p><p><strong>Years of experience:</strong> 3-5</p><p> </p><p><strong>Duties & Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>As a part of the Oracle implementation team, the candidate will be Responsible for supporting the Oracle databases and ensuring their performance, availability and security:</p><p>• Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades</p><p>• Applying patches and upgrades to latest release R12</p><p>• Cloning production to test environment</p><p>• Fine tuning, Space management, Data security, Schema management, Fault management, Diagnostic assessment of the Oracle Databases</p><p>• Identify technical gaps in user requirements and design custom solutions to cater the user requirement</p><p>• Technology Stack and Tools support for iAS, Forms, Reports and Discoverer</p><p>• Routine maintenance activities, system monitoring and proactive health check on a daily basis</p><p>• Manage and Configure Oracle Database RAC environment </p><p>• Raising and follow up Service Requests through Oracle Metalink</p><p>• Design and Develop backup and recovery procedures using RMAN and other backup tools</p><p><strong>Skills:</strong></p><p>• Oracle Apps DBA and Core DBA</p><p>• Experience in Oracle Apps Administration</p><p>• Oracle RAC environment</p><p>• Knowledge in Data Guard for primary and disaster recover site</p><p>• Experience in Backup & Recovery procedures</p><p>• Very good knowledge in Networking & troubleshooting</p><p>• Experience in Unix System Administration Sun Solaris and Linux</p><p>• Experience in Upgrading Oracle Apps from 11i to R12 and Database to latest release</p><p><strong>Education:</strong></p><p>Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or Computer Engineer.</p><p>Oracle certifications on Administration.</p>
