Optimization Engineer
Job Description
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To be responsible for conducting continuous well surveillance utilizing any available data (Well data, daily Monitoring,
VSD downloads, Annexure-G Surveillance Software) to prevent unplanned Shutdowns (trips), improving PCP uptime, optimizing production, and extend the PCP run life.
- To ensure that the design is compatible to the latest downhole conditions available.
- To ensure that the design is efficient, cost effective to the Company and guaranteeing the maximum permissible Oil
- Production from the specific Wells.
- To perform surveillance, troubleshooting and optimization to increase production.
- To be able to use engineering skills to solve problems by monitoring and analysing asset performance to enhance oil production.
- To identify the workover/recompletion, stimulation, artificial lift, and compression.
- To select the appropriate artificial lift system and equipment for different well conditions.
- To design the artificial lift systems for horizontal and vertical wells with various producing depths and fluid types and provide support for new well design and operation.
Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
- Good knowledge and experience in artificial lift Equipment & Tools
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in PCP Application/Service Engineering
- Holds an OEM Certificate for Application Engineering
- Good knowledge and experience in data trending and RCA of PCP Equipment
- Leadership & Supervisory skills
- Able to communicate in English language (read, write & speak)
- Negotiating skills
