Job Description: Operations Director – Facilities Management

Location: Doha, Qatar

Company Overview: Guildhall is an executive search firm currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading company in the Facilities Management (FM) industry. We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to oversee the entire operations. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in business development, sales and marketing, planning, budgeting, facility and maintenance, engineering, and strategic goal setting.

Responsibilities:

Business Development and Strategy:

β€’ Develop and implement business development strategies to drive growth and expansion.
β€’ Evaluate market opportunities and identify potential clients for new contracts.
β€’ Establish and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.
β€’ Set strategic goals and objectives for the company and evaluate their achievement.

Contract Management and Service Delivery:

β€’ Ensure that the contract delivers services to acceptable standards.
β€’ Develop and establish customer service and budgetary standards.
β€’ Establish work plans and staffing requirements for each project phase.
β€’ Recruit and assign personnel according to project needs.
β€’ Monitor and review annual and life-cycle replacement maintenance programs.
β€’ Negotiate contracts and establish policies and procedures for effective operations.

Financial and Operational Performance:

β€’ Take responsibility for the financial and operational performance of the contract.
β€’ Monitor and control costs to ensure profitability.
β€’ Set staffing levels in compliance with business specifications.
β€’ Monitor and evaluate staff performance and subcontractor activities.
β€’ Ensure efficient and effective service delivery to meet client requirements.

Leadership and Team Management:

β€’ Provide strong leadership to the operations team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
β€’ Conduct regular staff meetings to review ongoing operations, address issues, and implement corrective actions.
β€’ Develop and coordinate monitoring and inspection programs to ensure high-quality customer service.
β€’ Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers and employees.
