<strong>CLIENT <br><br></strong>Is a leading logistics company operating out of the Middle-East<br><br><strong>PURPOSE<br><br></strong>To successfully lead all aspects of the operation in line with the business plan. To successfully manage all aspects ensuring it operates to the agreed customer service levels and budget by leading and directing the team to deliver the overall operational plan. Responsible for but not limited to TH, EMR, AMD, Transport, Reefer.<br><br><strong>Key Accountabilities<br><br></strong>▪ Assist the Branch Manager in the creation of the annual operating plan and in line with the plan continually review and take action on any areas of improvement in order that all operational areas perform and operate in an efficient and effective manner ensuring that customer service levels are maintained and exceeded.<br><br>▪ Lead, direct and develop direct reports to ensure that people are performance focused and engaged enabling the operational plan to be achieved and individual’s potential maximised.<br><br>▪ Ensure all agreed operational processes are periodically reviewed, adopted and worked to. Ensure all individuals understand what is required of them within their role and they are carrying out the role as efficiently and effectively as possible in order that the operating plan can be achieved. Service levels should be maintained by all.<br><br>▪ Manage all technical, safety, cost and people aspects of the operation (incl. physical planning, risk assessment, TCO, process flow and design) to ensure that performance is continuously improved, and the terminal is operating in the most effective and efficient way.<br><br>▪ To build and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders (e.g. transport management, terminal management, AMD, EMR, Reefer departments, shipping lines and agencies etc.) to ensure Jeddah can deliver its operational plan in the most efficient and effective way.<br><br>▪ Maintain the highest of safety standards throughout all departments within your remit. Accident and near miss reporting through the appropriate channels and correct / preventative actions carried out.<br><br>▪ Work closely with commercial to understand customers’ needs/pain areas and developing compelling value proposition to address it appropriately and actively involve in commercial development.<br><br><strong>Key Experience, Knowledge &amp; Skills<br><br></strong>▪ Knowledge of industry standards/KPIs<br><br>▪ High proficiency in technical aspects of all operations<br><br>▪ A proven leader – Able to set an example for their team by displaying skills of delegation, motivation, self awareness and emotional intelligence<br><br>▪ Highly developed communication skills<br><br>▪ Financial acumen<br><br>▪ Proven track record of results success<br><br>▪ Experience of managing significant change within a multi-cultural environment<br><br>▪ Preferable experience of container management<br><br>▪ Proven ability to manage a complex/large scale terminal operation<br><br>▪ Experience managing a terminal and developing a new terminal<br><br><strong>HALIAN GROUP<br><br></strong>With over 20 years of experience, we have come to understand that innovation is the only way to provide agile, practical solutions that transform businesses and careers.<br><br>Our resourcing and smart services help you to realize tomorrow’s potential.
