<strong>Overview</strong><p><br></p>PepsiCo is investing in a new global import/export capability that will support our growth, enhance our execution agility, improve decision making, as well as drive our competitive advantage as a business. This team will drive excellence in the areas of procurement, ocean &amp; air freight, customs &amp; trade management, and will provide support and execution services powered by our Supply Chain Global Business Services organization.<p><br></p>The Excellence Specialist will be a consistent and reliable point of escalation for regions covering their ocean and air shipments, and leading to cost and service benefits. The scope includes global snacks, beverages, concentrate, raw materials, samples, finished goods, CAPEX, and spare parts shipments requiring ocean transport. The role will oversee current PepsiCo managed ocean freight and air shipments while building new capabilities to scale and expand ocean freight operations to supplier-managed operations in close coordination with I/E procurement capability and region teams.<p><br></p><strong>Responsibilities</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Be an escalation point of contact for sectors working with brokers, FF, port authorities, and carriers to resolve issues connected to balancing costs, service and compliance.</li><li>Coordinate with I/E procurement and sector supply chain teams to optimize global business processes.</li><li>Proactively measure and manage ocean freight capacity globally working with I/E procurement, carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and various sector representatives</li><li>Drive productivity from import-export (Ocean freight, Air freight, Assessorial charges) through cost transformation for 2023-2025 and develop detailed plans for additional years 2026+ .</li><li>Guarantee operational continuity for all sectors by implementing the right international logistic strategy for ocean freight shipments</li><li>Deliver cost reductions and savings by optimizing ocean freight trade routes international logistic routes, transportation types, custom borders, carriers and brokers, as well as, reducing detention, demurrages, delays and storages.</li><li>Analyze all import/export operations across the globe in order to identify possible ocean freight optimization opportunities with coordination with I/E procurement.</li><li>Monitor carrier compliance and results related to ocean freight execution and performance.</li><li>Drive excellence and improve visibility of ocean shipments through use of digital tools and platforms.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Qualifications</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, International Logistics or applicable degree</li><li>8-10 years’ experience in transportation (ocean, air, international logistics required)</li><li>Ability to drive large transformational change agenda to include people, process, technology transformation</li><li>Capable of working in a remote work group and being managed by a remote manager</li><li>English fluency both written and verbal required; exceptional communication skills across global businesses (additional languages as an asset)</li><li>Strong track record of managing multiple competing cross-functional priorities</li><li>Experience with using logistics IT visibility platforms and tools to drive proactive management of ocean / air freight </li><li>Proficient with process improvement methodologies and supply chain excellence (Lean Six Sigma Belt/ Agile/ APICS)</li><li>Experience directly leading cross-functional competencies, people, and teams</li><li>Strong track record of developing capabilities and scaling sustained operations resulting in long-term growth</li></ul>
