Job Description

We are looking for a DHA registered Nurse for a reputed Eye Clinic in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a critical role in providing specialized care to patients with eye-related conditions and undergoing eye surgeries and must work closely with ophthalmologists, optometrists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess patients’ eye conditions, medical histories, and symptoms.
• Assist with eye examinations, including measuring visual acuity and performing diagnostic tests.
• Educate patients on eye health, medications, and post-operative care instructions.
• Administer eye drops, medications, and topical treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and record patients’ vital signs, blood glucose levels, and other relevant data.
• Assist in the preparation and positioning of patients for eye surgeries.
• Prepare surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
• Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room during surgeries.
• Assist ophthalmologists during eye surgeries, providing instruments and supplies as needed.
• Document surgical procedures accurately and maintain proper records.
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families, addressing concerns and answering questions.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout their hospital stay.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Coordinate with other departments for specialized tests, consultations, or additional treatments.
• Promote patient education and provide resources on eye health and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, assessments, and interventions.
• Document all nursing care provided, medications administered, and treatment outcomes.
• Comply with hospital policies and procedures for recordkeeping and documentation.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in ophthalmic nursing practices and technologies.
• Participate in professional development activities, workshops, and training sessions.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives by identifying areas for enhancement and suggesting solutions.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
