- American / Canadian Board certification.
- 3+ years of experience after certification.
Job Description:
- Examine patients, learning their complaints and symptoms.
- Ordering, performing, and interpreting results of diagnostic tests, such as MRIs, PET scans, and CT scans.
- Study patients’ medical histories and the results of examimations.
- Assessing and diagnosing patients, prescribing treatments, and monitoring the patients’ progress.
- When surgery is needed, determine the proper procedure.
- Discuss with patients and their families the benefits and risks of treatment options.
- Performing microsurgeries with microscope and more invasive procedures & operations on the nervous system.
- Handling unscheduled emergency surgeries.
- Meet with patients and family members to provide postoperative recommendations, nutritional suggestions, and other advice;
- Work with neurologists and other specialists.
- Create and maintain patient records.
- Supervise medical technicians and administrative staff.
