National Cadet Pilot Programme Become one of the best trained pilots in the world and fly the flag of the nation to over 140 destinations. We’re looking for young and ambitious Emiratis with the passion and commitment to join our National Cadet Pilot Programme and train to become world-class pilots at the Emirates Flight Training Academy in Dubai. What we provide Our fully sponsored programme covers the cost of your training for at least four years, including training materials, accommodation, uniforms and three daily meals. Joining our programme will take you from zero flying hours through to ground school and the skies in a multi-engine, multi-crew aircraft. After graduation, you’ll be qualified to take command of one of the newest and most modern fleets in the sky with Emirates, the world’s largest international airline. Our selection process Candidates who meet the selection criteria will be invited for assessments. Stage 1 Maths and Physics assessments. Medical pre-screening at the EK Clinic. Stage 2 Compass test Aviation English test Psychometrics tests. Including Abstract reasoning and Spatial awareness. Stage 3 Panel interview. GCAA Medical examination. Programme details The National Cadet Programme is divided into the following phases: Ab-initio Pilot – Phase 1 – Ground School You will study using state-of-the-art technology, VR and advanced flight simulators. Ground School includes: Aviation sciences foundation. Approximately 4 months – Pay and benefits: Course fees, meals and accommodation ATPL theoretical knowledge. Approximately 9 months – Pay and benefits: AED 4,000 per month, course fees, meals and accommodation – Phase 2 – Flight Training This phase will provide you with approximately 274 hours of flight experience, a course completion certificate, Commercial Pilot Licence with Multi Instrument Rating (CPL/multi IR) and Multi Crew Cooperation Course (MCC). – Duration: Approximately 15 months – Pay and benefits: AED 7,000 per month, course fees, meals and accommodation Cadet Pilot – Phase 3 – Conversion, Type Rating and Line Training In this phase you will go through a type rating course followed by line training. – Duration: approximately 3 months – Pay and benefits: AED 15,995 per month, course fees – Phase 4 In this phase you’ll complete line training, followed by a final line check. Once you complete this course you’ll receive a commercial pilot licence with a multi-instrument rating (CPL/Multi IR) and Frozen Air Transport Pilot Licence (Frozen ATPL) approved by the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority. – Duration: Approximately 6 months – Pay and benefits: AED 27,370 per month, course fees First Officer As a line pilot you’ll be flying one of the youngest and most modern fleet of aircraft in the skies with the world’s largest international airline, Emirates. – Pay and benefits: AED 43,000 per month (basic pay and fixed allowances) Join our National Cadet Pilot Programme today and take the first step towards your career as a commercial airline pilot.
