"
Being responsible for looking after the welfare of the infant/child, according to MSF hygiene standards and security rules, strictly observing the daily regimen specified by parents in written or oral instructions
Taking care of the infant/child during the day and carrying out tasks specified by the parents, following at all times all hygiene standards and security rules. When requested, preparing food and planning their daily activities
•Taking all possible measures to prevent accidents in home/external activity locations. Immediately informing the parents in case of accidents (injuries, falling, intoxication, etc.) and immediately providing the first aid and calling the medical doctor if required. Checking the health of the child (fever, insect bites, injuries, etc.) when called for
•Practicing self-education, learning child development methods and practicing developing games with infants/children based on their age.
Looking after the cleanliness of the infant/child, including clothes and shoes as well the cleanliness of the room, domestic appliances, toys and other items surrounding the infant/child. When required, ironing child/children’s clothes
•Dressing the infant/child appropriately and taking care of the toilet needs of the child. When applicable, changing diapers regularly and giving a bath during the day and when requested, during the evening
•Using the home and kitchen appliances accurately and carefully to prepare proper meals for the infant/child
Note: The infant/child should never be left alone including while in the bath. When staying at home while parents are out, child minder should not open the door to unauthorized people

· Plan daily activities for children, taking into account the children’s individual routines (sleeping, meals etc)
Cook meals for children (respecting their diet if specific requirements or need), respecting healthy nutrition principles and ensure a balanced diet
Know, apply and make sure universal hygiene standards and security
Feed the children
Keep children clean and tidy
Tidy up play areas
Entertain children and assist with homework when requested
Bathe children
Monitor TV time, computer time
Accompany children from/to school or to activities and arranging play dates
respecting parent’s guidelines and planning
· Immediately inform the parents / direct supervisor if any issue / incident / sickness occurs.
· Clean Daily the house, in particular:
o Ventilate all rooms;
o Sweep and mop the floors;
o Clean the toilets (detergent)
o Dust furniture;
o Remove dishes and cutlery from rooms / offices and clean them.
o Clean the water filters every week and change the filter at least once every 6 months
o Empty the waste bins.
o Kitchen management: Wash dishes and cups and keep the kitchen appliances always clean.
o Consumable management: Request on time all supplies for house / office from logistic team such as: gas, toilet paper, soap, cleaning material.
· Security: Ensure that the premises are properly locked (doors, windows)
· Prevent entry of anyone in the house unless prior authorization from the manager or technical referent.
· Inform the line manager, on a weekly basis, of any installation or equipment maintenance/repair needs within the assigned premises.
Immediately inform the line manager and/or technical adviser when urgent repairs are required or urgent measures must be taken to safeguard the premises (in the event of infestation by insects, rats, etc.)
Requirements
Education • Pedagogical education, nursing education an asse
Experience • Experience in working with children in child care facilities or in families
Languages • Local language and mission language essential
Knowledge
• Knowledge and ability to practice child development activities
• Possession of good cultural standards
