<p>We are excited to announce an opening for the position of Special Needs Music Teacher at our esteemed educational institution. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual who is experienced in working with students with special needs and possesses a strong background in music education. The music teacher will follow the guidelines as set out by the Music Coordinator which includes the theory and practice of general music, singing and playing musical instruments.</p><p><br></p><p>To be successful as a music teacher, you should create an enjoyable learning environment to inspire young minds and help them grow in appreciation of music. Ultimately, a top-notch music teacher should be skilled in playing musical instruments, planning concerts for student participation.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum that caters to the diverse needs of students with special needs</li><li>Adapt teaching strategies and materials to accommodate individual learning styles and abilities</li><li>Provide engaging and inclusive music lessons that promote creativity, self-expression, and social-emotional development</li><li>Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment</li><li>Monitor student progress, assess their abilities, and provide constructive feedback</li><li>Collaborate with parents/guardians to support student learning and progress</li><li>Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in special needs education and music therapy</li><li>Incorporating musical instruments and movement in lessons.</li><li>Preparing students for school concerts and planned music experiences.</li><li>Building relationships and mentoring students.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>University degree in <strong>MUSIC</strong></li><li>Ability to play the piano and or electric keyboard</li><li>A minimum of two years teaching experience in this field.</li><li>Valid Certificate/s and 2 References must be provided.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills in <strong>English</strong>.</li><li>Strong computer skills.</li></ul>
