Our client is one of the fastest growing fintech start-ups providing invoice discounting services in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, they are looking to hire an MLRO &amp; Compliance Manager for their Riyadh office. The role holder will be a detail-oriented and empathetic leader to head up Compliance and MLRO.<p><br></p><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities </strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Identifying compliance risks and advising on appropriate policies, procedures, systems, and controls.</li><li> Documenting the organization, responsibilities and procedures of the Firms compliance function.</li><li>Ensuring compliance breaches are readily identified, reported, and acted on.</li><li> Keeping senior management up to date on changes in relevant regulations and their implications.</li><li> Preparing the Firm for risk assessment visits.</li><li>Reviewing the Firms marketing materials.</li><li> Processing applications for the registration and withdrawal of individuals.</li><li>Ensuring that employees receive training on what must or must not be done to ensure compliance.</li><li>Liaising with the regulator and ensuring all regulatory returns and ad hoc notifications are submitted on time.</li><li> Maintaining the Firms regulatory files and registers.</li><li> Providing support and training to the groups Compliance Officer where applicable.<br></li></ul><p><br></p><strong>For MLRO:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Identifying money laundering risks and advising on appropriate policies, procedures, systems and controls.</li><li>Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Firms policies, procedures, systems and controls.</li><li>Receiving and investigating internal Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) from employees.</li><li>Reporting SARs to the Financial Intelligence Unit and to the regulator.</li><li>Acting as the point of contact within the Firm for competent UAE authorities and the regulator.</li><li>Overseeing compliance with UN sanctions and international, governmental and regulatory findings.</li><li>Establishing and maintaining a staff awareness and training program for the prevention of money laundering.</li><li>Reporting to senior management on the quality and effectiveness of the Firms AML program.<br></li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Requirements: </strong><p><br></p><ul><li>5+ years of Compliance experience in both Regulatory Compliance and the Financial Crime side. </li><li>Previous senior Compliance Manager or MLRO responsibilities. </li><li>Experience and familiarity with industry system providers and how to integrate providers into new and existing products and operational processes. </li><li>In-depth and practical working knowledge of the compliance, money laundering and KYC decrees in Saudi Arabia. </li><li>Experience working with international standards covering: Money Laundering Regulations, proceeds of financial crime, Bribery, Terrorism, Fraud, and other regulations impacting company’s business. </li><li>Previous experience in building teams and processes from scratch. </li><li>Strong data, analytical and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Ability to deal with problems in a practical and common-sense way, consistently demonstrating sound judgment. </li><li>Preferably to have professional certifications for ICA or CAMS.</li></ul>
