Inspiring us to create warm and sophisticated experiences for those seeking a richer perspective on the world.<br><br>Phoenicia InterContinental Hotel in Beirut is looking to hire a Mixologist.<br><br>Overlooking the Mediterranean, the Phoenicia InterContinental hotel with 446 rooms and suites and 33 apartments, along with 4 F&B outlets, and one of the largest banquet facilities in Lebanon.<br><br><strong>A little taste of your day-to-day:<br><br></strong>Every day is different at IHG, but you’ll mostly be:<br><ul><li>Beverage Preparation: Create and prepare a diverse range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, mocktails, spirits, wines, and other bar offerings, following established recipes and standards.</li><li>Menu Development: Collaborate with the outlet manager or food and beverage director to develop and update the hotel bar’s beverage menu, incorporating new and trendy ingredients, flavors, and mixology techniques.</li><li>Customer Service: Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations, describing the unique characteristics of each beverage, and ensuring guest satisfaction through attentive service.</li><li>Mixology Techniques: Utilize your knowledge of mixology techniques, such as muddling, shaking, stirring, and layering, to create visually appealing and well-balanced beverages.</li><li>Ingredient Knowledge: Stay informed about the latest beverage trends, including new spirits, craft beers, wines, and mixers, and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all available ingredients in order to suggest pairings and create customized drinks.</li><li>Presentation and Garnishing: Pay attention to detail when presenting and garnishing drinks, ensuring they are visually appealing and consistent with the overall aesthetic of the hotel bar.</li><li>Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining appropriate stock levels by monitoring beverage inventory, requisitioning supplies, and communicating with the bar manager regarding any shortages or issues.</li><li>Bar Maintenance: Clean and organize the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and equipment, to maintain a sanitary and visually appealing work environment.</li><li>Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service guidelines, and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations related to the sale and service of alcohol.</li><li>Training and Collaboration: Collaborate with the bar team to provide ongoing training and support to new bartenders and servers, sharing knowledge and techniques to enhance the overall quality of the bar service.<br><br></li></ul><strong>What We need from you:<br></strong><ul><li>A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional training or certification in mixology, bartending, or hospitality is preferred.</li><li>Previous experience as a mixologist, bartender, or similar role in a hotel, upscale restaurant, or cocktail bar is required.</li><li>In-depth knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and other beverage categories, as well as the ability to suggest appropriate pairings and make recommendations to guests.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide exceptional customer service and interact effectively with guests, colleagues, and other team members.<br><br></li></ul><strong>What you can expect from us:<br><br></strong>We give our people everything they need to succeed.
