As an exciting new vertical within Careem (a startup within a startup), we’re in the early stages of building our product and have plenty of interesting and fundamental challenges to solve in order to achieve our ambitious growth goals in this burgeoning space.<br><br><strong><u>What You’ll Do<br><br></u></strong>As a Merchandising executive, you will be an integral part of the Merchandising team, which is responsible for the entire in-app funnel conversion. The merchandising function is part of the commercial team, and works closely with designers, copywriters, marketing teams, product team and other stakeholders to ensure that the shopping experience is engaging and effective. As a merchandising executive you will play a significant role in driving sales and conversion, by creating a best-in-class customer experience on the app.<br><br><strong><u>Responsibilities<br></u></strong><ul><li>Manage the entire store-front (app home page) for Careem Groceries </li><li>Use analytical approach to curate what the app looks, to ensure better in-app conversion </li><li>Responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of the merchandising calendar including maintenance of Home Page, Category Landing Pages, carousels and other relevant app real estates </li><li>Working closely with the Marketing Team, Category Managers and Catalog team to coordinate the launch of promotional plans and campaigns across Quik various assets </li><li>Coordinate with designers, marketing team, catalogue team to get the required campaigns up and running </li><li>Develop merchandising plans, curating selection and sorting rules whilst balancing customer experience and commercial objectives to improve user experience, and enhance product discovery and content </li><li>Strive to understand the customer experience of the app and make suggestions for improvement where applicable </li><li>Manage effective Product Life Cycle, including new product launches and end of life products (near expiry) <br></li></ul><strong><u>What You’ll Need<br><br></u></strong>Successful candidates will have a passionate commitment to improving the lives of people, an insane focus on excellence and customer centricity, and a strong alignment with our core values and purpose.<br><ul><li>3+ years experience in managing in-app merchandising for any e-commerce platform </li><li>Strong understanding of in-app funnel ( user journey in the app) </li><li>Strong project management and stakeholder management skills </li><li>Ability to come up with creative ideas on engaging customers in the app </li><li>Ability to analyze data and take data backed decisions </li><li>Ability to hustle and execute on shorter time lines </li><li>Good communication skills – to manage internal stakeholders and get work done by collaborating with other teams <br></li></ul><strong><u>What We’ll Provide You<br><br></u></strong>We offer colleagues the opportunity to drive impact in the region while they learn and grow.
