"Purpose: \n\nThe Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Field Officer implements Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) activities as defined in collaboration with the relevant coordinator at local and national level. S/he provides direct support to victims of armed conflict and/or other situations of violence and/or trains, supervises others to do so. \n\nFunctional general responsibilities:\n\n\n\tProvides direct support to families of missing through support group sessions and delivers individual counselling sessions\n\tContributes to planning and organizing activities adapted to the needs of the families of missing persons.\n\tContributes to the management of MHPSS data relating to activities for families of missing.\n\tParticipates actively to the work stream part of Operational Priority 2 as part of the planning and reporting to the Work Stream focal point.\n\tAlong with the MHPSS Delegate, conducts pre and post assessments and supports the general evaluation process of activities.\n\tAssesses existing local resources that provide support to the families of missing persons in Jordan.\n\tEnsures the MHPSS support to members of families of the missing persons in a transversal manner in line with the accompaniment strategy\n\tImplements MHPSS activities directly through individual consultations or group support activities via outreach activities.\n\tOrganizes referrals of beneficiaries and performs case follow-up when needed.\n\tPlans, Organizes and Conducts training for the accompaniers of the implementing partners to provide MHPSS support to the families of missing persons, including referrals to available local resources\n\tComplying with ICRC standards, sets up culturally and context-appropriate monitoring and evaluation tools and ensures regular data collection during emergency.\n\tDevelops and maintains contacts with JRC, health authorities, academics, technical advisers from other organizations, etc. as necessary.\n\tCreates and maintains direct links with MHPSS programs beneficiaries.\n\tMaintains regular communication with the Mental Health \u0026amp; psychological team and/or MHPSS HPM, providing data and programs updates.\n\tInterprets in Arabic and English languages in any situation with accuracy.\n\tTranslates all kinds of documents from Arabic to English and reverse upon request.\n\tPerforms various office duties on computer, including updating the ICRC MHPSS program beneficiaries’ database\n\n\nRequired Qualifications and Skills:\n\n\n\tUniversity degree in Clinical Psychology/ Counselling (Masters’ degree an asset) with a license to practice in Jordan.\n\tExcellent knowledge of Arabic and English languages, both written and spoken, is mandatory.\n\tGood computer skills (Word, Excel, Web browsers etc…).\n\n\nMinimum required Knowledge \u0026amp; Experience\n\n\n\tAt least five years of professional experience with minimum three years of work experience in MHPSS programs in Jordan that includes working with vulnerable groups.\n\tHumanitarian agency experience with FoMs is an asset.\n\tGood knowledge and experience in group facilitation techniques.\n\tGood knowledge about evaluation methods.\n\tClinical experience is an asset.\n\n\nInterested to join?
