Job Description
- Develop a thorough understanding and knowledge of clients’ business and their competitive environment
- Perform client and media background research
- Prepare and distribute a full range of written materials including press releases, newsletters, by-line articles, client correspondence and reports.
- Develop and maintain media contacts and databases
- Provide on-ground media relations assistance for coverage of ongoing events.
- Assist and coordinate special events (eg. press conferences, media events and interviews)
- Assist in execution of social media programs outreach
- Establish, develop and maintain strong and effective media relations with local and international media.
- Establish and maintain relationships with media – TV, print, radio, web, etc.
- Research media and develop creative story angles / news hooks to secure press.
- Support account PR account responsible with press release writing, media list creation and maintenance and other projects.
- Send press releases, features, and other promotional materials to newspaper editors and ensure strong follow-up for excellent news coverage.
- Gaining publicity and disseminating information to members of the press or other media representatives.
- Ensure the company reputation is promoted effectively through positive relations
