General Requirements
Required Diploma Degree, but Preferred Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field.
Minimum 5 years’ experience including a proactive attitude for personal safety and the safety of co-workers, and environmentally responsible operations.
Knowledge of recognized and generally accepted good engineering practice and codes, risk-based inspection principles, and in-service techniques.
Knowledge of root cause failure analysis techniques, inspection techniques.
Certifications or thorough knowledge of related codes & standards such as QCS 2014, ASTM, ACI, NFPA, BS, AWWA…etc.
Good analytical and computer skills, specifically in MS Office Suite
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Executes the specific inspections on materials, equipment’s, and construction/installation activities on site.
Issues the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, writes and sends to QA/QC Manager non-conformances reports.
Monitor equipment installation, alignment and leveling.
Monitor functional checks and mechanical completion checks (Pressure Vessels and tanks).
Equipment inspection (Installation & Performance test).
Checks of levelness, position, orientation, anchor bolts, conduits, etc. of tanks foundation
Witness hydrostatic test of tank and measurement of pad settlement.
Storages tank inspection.
Create punch-list for any findings and observations during inspections.
Verify special processes and the relevant workers’ qualifications such as welders’ qualifications and weld procedures.
Specific Requirements:
Witness the tests, controls, and inspections, verify quality control completion, obtain the relevant documentation, and ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan (ITP) according to Company requirements.
Evaluate tests that are confirming to quality requirements, Mechanical finishes and building components by conducting thorough site inspection for all Mechanical works as per approved shop drawings, specifications, and method statement
Witness/ survey receiving inspection of mechanical and electro-mechanical components and sub-assemblies.
Monitoring and ensuring that all Mechanical aspects of the project are carried out as per inspection plan/drawings/codes and specifications.
Monitor all material received at construction site as per requirements.
Monitor the closure of Non-Compliance Report (NCR), Corrective Action Reports.
Attend weekly Quality Standards Toolbox Talks with the Contractor QC and Construction Teams.
Monitor safety aspects when dealing with Mechanical installations.
Field checks placement, location, and quality of Mechanical finishes, building structure components.
Perform Mechanical inspections and material inspections as per Request For Inspection (RFI) and Material Inspection Request (MIR).
Ensure compliance of Mechanical works to design requirements, specifications, and project plan.
Maintain a Log to monitor status of Request for Inspection (RFI) and make sure all QA/QC documents of the entire project such as, approved inspection requests, calibration certificates, test results, Non-Conformance Reports, Corrective Action Reports are kept in order by the Contractor.
Check conformity with the Quality Control Plan, obtain the relevant documentation, check procedures and equipment to be used in tests, controls, and inspections, manage documents certifying tests, controls and inspections.
