<p><strong>About the Business: </strong></p><p><br></p><p>Fisheries Development Oman (“FDO”) is a Joint-stock company and a subsidiary of Oman Investment Authority, a wholly government owned sovereign wealth fund. The company is investing in Fisheries &amp; fish farming projects that lead to the development of Fisheries &amp; aquaculture sector in Oman, including shrimp farming, finfish, shellfish and seaweed ventures. The company is also investing in the establishment of support industries to the fish farming sector, including hatcheries and feed factories.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Objective:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>The Markets Manager should be in a position to ensure execution of the activities of the business plan as well as the achievement of the commercial targets set forth. The role would include a combination of commercial expertise, planning, stakeholder management, research &amp; development and strategic management. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Monitoring and Summarizing the Market trends locally and internationally.</li><li>Researching, Due diligence, Preparing, Supporting the delivery and following up business Projects.</li><li>Developing Business Proposals and products/packages.</li><li>Conducts Business Development analysis of commercial opportunities.</li><li>Development of financial plans including budgeting and forecasting for the short and long term.</li><li>Develop an action plan to approach new customers including a pipeline of key anchor customer.</li><li>Analyse the business performance by customer, territory, and region, including the profitability, revenue, pricing, and cost of products/solutions sold.</li><li>Develop and maintain a potential client network and attend meetings with each on regular basis.</li><li>Responsible of marketing and sales, including planning new account strategies, prospecting for new accounts, making sales calls, generating positive word of mouth, developing, and quoting rates, negotiating contracts, and closing sales.</li><li>Attending/Participating in stakeholders and Investment meetings/events.</li><li>Be an ambassador for the company at all times internally and externally.</li><li>Provide training to junior colleagues and staff.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in investment, Finance, business development, marketing, or similar.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Minimum Experience:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>8 years of experience minimum.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Competencies:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.</li><li>Excellent analytical and research skills</li><li>Superior written and verbal communication skills as well as good presentation skills.</li><li>Organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize tasks.</li><li>Computer and technical skills.</li><li>Problem solving and decision-making skills.</li><li>Strong leadership and managerial skills.</li><li>Negotiation and persuasion skills.</li><li>Conflict resolution skills.</li></ul><p></p>
