Founded in 2009, Nervora is headquartered in Dubai.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>The Marketing &amp; Events Director is a key position, ensuring that marketing initiatives and events experiences meet Nervora’s portfolio’s vision.</p><p><br></p><p>Nervora is looking for an exceptional Marketing &amp; Events Director with a proven track record in concept creation, strategizing, planning, budgeting, and execution across fashion, luxury, technology, and innovation industries, preferably within the media publishing field.</p><p><br></p><p>The Marketing &amp; Events Director is a creative strategic thinker, data-driven planner, and solution-oriented implementor who can elevate and evolve Nervora’s marketing initiatives and event experience. You should be a multi-faceted individual who is not only able to work with ambiguity and complexity but also extremely organized, detail-oriented, and self-sufficient. You understand what it takes to create an exceptional and elevated experience across the fashion, luxury, technology, and innovation industries. You will be responsible for developing, planning, and executing the go-to-market plan for both Vogue Arabia and WIRED Middle East issues. You will also spearhead Nervora’s brand marketing campaigns, events, and experiential partnerships/ sponsorships.</p><p><br></p><p>A commitment to outstanding service and exceptional marketing and promoting skills are assumed. In keeping with Nervora’s dedication to producing world-class content, you should have excellent attention to detail, command exemplary communication skills, manage budgets and events P&amp;L, and possess an ability to positively influence your fellow team members, clients, and partners.</p><p><br></p><p>This is an outstanding opportunity to play a significant role in building the world’s most storied publishing brands and redefining the premium media landscape across the Middle East.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities </strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Develop, plan, and implement Nervora’s annual marketing and events strategy and calendar for both offline and online, including new initiatives (business development opportunities and/or innovative commerce concepts) that fit with the editorial voice and vision of Nervora’s brands.</li><li>Lead, own, and manage Nervora brands’ marketing campaigns and events from concept creation, strategy, and planning to execution, including but not limited to guest list management, PR/comms, budgeting, logistics, production, talent/celebrity sourcing, negotiations, and partner/client relationships. Exemplary project timelines and budget management are assumed.</li><li>Spearhead in developing and executing new experiential partnership/ sponsorship commerce concepts aligned with the commercial team. Track and optimize KPIs, conduct internal postmortem, deliver wrap-up reports, and improve KPIs for upcoming events.</li><li>Create and execute a go-to-market PR and promotional plan for Nervora brands aligned with the editorial team. Manage relationships with media platforms to amplify Nervora initiatives and successes. Track and optimize KPIs, conduct internal postmortem, and improve KPIs for each issue.</li><li>Track all marketing and events projects and P&amp;L and perform an in-depth postmortem analysis to integrate actionable enhancements in the marketing and sales strategy. Presented to Nervora’s Senior Leadership Team every quarter.</li><li>Be the champion and brand ambassador of <em>Vogue </em>Arabia and<em> WIRED</em> Middle East and educate brands and clients on Nervora’s dedication and commitment to producing world-class content and experience. Build and manage strong relationships with marketers, key decision-makers, and stakeholders across brands. Maintain relationships with VIP clientele and ensure optimum attendee satisfaction at high-profile events.</li><li>Actively collaborate cross-functionally across the commercial and editorial teams to share knowledge, insights, and trends and create unique and value-driven revenue/monetization opportunities. Support business development activity, assisting the commercial team in selling sponsorship opportunities to brands and empowering sales staff to drive leads.</li><li>Identify and manage potential risks of all marketing and events activities related to contract agreements and financial activities.</li><li>Document and track all financial activities related to marketing and events activities.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Basic Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Proven track record of marketing, events, and communications (8+ years’ experience), preferably for media publications.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or equivalent work experience.</li><li>Strong MENA network with brand marketers across fashion, beauty, luxury, business, tech (both B2B and consumer tech), automobile innovation, and sustainability.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus) with an ability to deliver a compelling visual presentation and an inspiring narrative and storytelling.</li><li>Ability to manage a wide range of marketing campaigns, events, and partnerships simultaneously.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint / Mac Keynote.</li><li>Sound understanding of analytics and CRM.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Candidate Profile</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record in building relationships with brand marketers/ clients, partners, and colleagues.</li><li>A deep understanding of the Vogue and WIRED brand and ability to carry its mantle and converse in an articulate, authoritative manner on the full range of <em>Vogue </em>and <em>WIRED </em>topics.</li><li>Able to work with ambiguity and complexity and inspire and positively influence colleagues to deliver the best results.</li><li>Detail oriented, positive approach to managing workload and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Excellent negotiation skills.</li><li>A creative leader with exceptional standards who inspires and draws out the most creative ideas.</li><li>Possesses strong leadership skills with a team player mindset and leads by example.</li><li>Strategic thinker that is result-driven with strong bias for action.</li><li>Self-motivated, driven, and able to work under pressure.</li><li>Open-minded and willing to learn, experiment and progress.</li><li>Passionate about fashion, luxury, technology, innovation, and influential forces in this space.</li></ul>
