Job Description

The Opportunity:

During November and December 2023, the UAE government will host the 28th Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) with a view to paving the way for future ambition to effectively tackle the global challenge of climate change.

In the lead-up to the convention, our client is seeking to boost their Marketing and Business Development team by the hire of an additional resource on a 12 month contract basis.  This role will see you working in an international law firm, with a market-leading marketing and business development team.

You will work directly with the firm’s London-based team, plus have additional support provided by the local team in Dubai. You will be a motivated individual who is a self-starter with a pro-active approach to your tasks.  This is very much a people-based role which will see you interacting with venues, delegates and a wide range of employees throughout the organisation.

The Responsibilities:

This is an exciting role that will see you working closely with the team in order to implement the marketing plan relating to this law firm’s activities throughout the COP28 convention.  Your duties will include:

* Liaising with venues over the phone, email and in person
* Coordinating events including dinners, seminars and virtual events
* Preparing invitations 
* Providing support with internal and external communications, including social media
