<p><strong>Job Title: Market Supervision Data Analyst</strong></p><p><strong>Location: Dubai, UAE </strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Overview:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Market Supervision Data Analyst to join our client’s team in Dubai and be responsible for analyzing market data and issuer disclosure information to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and identify potential unfair or disorderly trading, signs of possible market abuse and non-compliance with market transparency requirements on one hand and providing data analyses support regarding product and business development on the other hand. </p><p><br></p><p>The data analyst will work closely with the market supervision, market operations, product and business development teams to develop and implement effective data capture mechanisms, data analyses, statistics, surveillance and monitoring program. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Monitor and analyse market data to identify potential market manipulation and insider trading activities; </li><li>Perform data analysis on issuer disclosure information to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and identify potential issues; </li><li>Develop and maintain effective surveillance and monitoring programs to identify suspicious trading patterns and activities; </li><li>Prepare reports and presentations on surveillance activities and findings for senior management and regulatory authorities; </li><li>Stay up to speed with industry trends and regulatory developments related to market surveillance, issuer disclosures and data analytics; </li><li>Gathering (external) unstructured data for marketing, product development and business development purposes; </li><li>Early identification of trends, tapping into and gathering external data and analyze for company’s relevant developments. Sounding and focus group data; </li><li>Having capacity to develop (macro-) economic content.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, Experience:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field;</li><li>At least 2 years of experience in financial and capital markets data analyses preferably with a market surveillance, issuer disclosure analysis background or related field; </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets; Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry best practices related to market surveillance and issuer disclosure. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences; </li><li>Proficiency in relevant software applications, including, Python, Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools; </li><li>Data management (cleansing, verifying and preparing) originating from different sources (mapping); </li><li>Data analyses / trend, patterns recognition, statistics.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>If the role is of interest and matches your skillset, please get in touch.</p>
