Then this may be the role for you.<br><br></strong>We have an exciting opportunity forβ―a<strong> Marine Surveyor/Engineer – Mauritania/Senegal </strong>to join our team of maritime experts carrying out a wide variety of consultancy work.<br><br>What you will be doing.<br><br>As our<strong> Marine Surveyor/Engineer</strong>, you will be part of our specialist team involved in vessel surveys, technical advice, and consultancy services as well as you will contribute to the development of the marine and offshore operations. You will be expected to be part of ABLβs core consultancy services and to:<br><ul><li>Perform engineering consultancy services, Marine Warranty, to clients in the offshore oil and gas sector as per our business requirements. </li><li>Conduct inspections and audits (Vessel suitability Surveys, Condition, and Pre-purchase surveys) onboard ships as required by the client. </li><li>Conduct inspections (Hull and Machinery and P&I) of equipment and materials for ships and floating structures and report on the findings as required by the client. </li><li>Take part in technical and procedural reviews and marine study reports covering marine and offshore projects as well as site attendance. </li><li>Attend offshore transportation & installation, and other marine operations as required. </li><li>Prepare and submit reports in English based on observations and findings. <br><br></li></ul>The role will be based in<strong> Mauritania and/or Senegal,</strong> and the incumbent has the right to work and reside in <strong>Mauritania and Senegal.</strong> Flexibility and ability to travel within Africa and Europe, with some offshore attendance required.<br><br>What we are looking for.<br><br>We are looking for driven and solution-oriented professionals with sound technical skills and good decision-making capabilities. The successful candidate will have good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal effectively with multiple issues and assignments simultaneously.<br><ul><li>You will hold a relevant university degree, related to marine or offshore engineering (Naval-Architect, Structural Mechanical / Civil / Marine Engineer, etc.); or an equivalent combination of relevant Mariner qualifications with offshore marine operations training and sea-going experience. </li><li>Should have relevant experience of anything between 3-10+ years with offshore marine operations and sea-going experience. </li><li>Have strong communication skills and a good command of written and spoken English and French. </li><li>Are willing to travel at short notice locally and globally for periods of time. </li><li>Are enthusiastic, proactive team players willing to take part in the growth of the company. </li><li>Have excellent communication skills, being able to develop relationships with existing and potential clients. </li><li>Can work independently as well as part of a team. <br><br></li></ul>What is in it for you?<br><br>The successful candidates will be part of a very distinctive and aspiring team in Mauritania/Senegal, with strong collaboration with other maritime personnel from ABL group offices worldwide.
