<strong>At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world. </strong><p><br></p><strong><u>Job Overview</u></strong><p><br></p>TE Connectivity’s Manufacturing Engineering Teams are process leaders for assembly related topics, ensuring the processes are running at optimum levels for quality and output. They are experts machining and assembly techniques, possessing extensive knowledge of the associated manufacturing processes which may include the optimization and standardization of assembly or other processes within the manufacturing environment.<p><br></p>Manufacturing Engineering Teams enable the TE business unit plants to reach TE Operating Advantage (TEOA) requirements, roll out Centers of Excellence (COE), Best Demonstrated Practices (BDP’s) and advise plants on tool and machine duplications / corrections / improvements. They design and develop manufacturing process and automation platforms and apply them for the realization of new product developments as well as optimization of existing products already in production. The Teams also support Product Development in the selection and optimization of tools for piece part production and the selection of the most suitable manufacturing concepts relative to planned manufacturing quantities, quality requirements and manufacturing location. They act as interface between engineering and production to ensure manufacturability of new designs and smooth production ramp up as well as support the research &amp; development teams to produce sample manufacturing equipment, product samples and prototypes.<p><br></p>The Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor position is responsible for factory automation, evolving the confluence of mechanic &amp; automation, this spearhead of industrial innovation designs and manufactures complex automated systems: Machines, automations, robots.<p><br></p><strong><u>Responsibilities</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>To spearhead and revolutionize processes and equipment innovation by actively seeking out and embracing cutting-edge technologies, remaining at the forefront of the industry and staying in sync with the latest market trends and TE’s groundbreaking innovations.</li><li>To drive the development of novel processes, manufacturing equipment, and tooling in alignment with TE’s strategic goals, with a focus on capitalization, technological advancements, and optimizing our global footprint.</li><li>To take the lead in generating, monitoring, and driving technical innovation concepts within the AUT NAF region, while also sharing invaluable experiences and best practices with local teams to foster collaboration and extend these innovations across Automotive EMEA and other regions.</li><li>To take charge of complex specification development, steering and ensuring exceptional mechanical design and automation, conducting process design and synthesis with a sharp focus on Process Thinking, embracing new manufacturing concepts, and constantly staying updated on the latest technological advancements. You will also be responsible for making critical technical decisions within TE’s mechanical design and automation sphere.</li><li>To meticulously plan and oversee technical aspects, both internally and externally, ensuring comprehensive technical follow-up, seamless tooling management, and the elaboration of project budgets.</li><li>To serve as a vital interface between all layers of the organization, working closely with the R&amp;D team, process team, production, maintenance, suppliers, and service providers to foster collaboration, exchange ideas, and achieve remarkable outcomes.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>What Your Background Should Look Like</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or mechatronic engineering field</li><li>Strong CAD knowledge</li><li>Fluent English both written and spoken</li><li>5+ years of experience in various Engineering or Process Development assignments. Automotive industry preferred</li><li>At least 3 years of practice in the field at technical and supervision level</li><li>Ideally, professional experience in the design and construction of high-speed assembly systems/Machine</li><li>Six Sigma certification is an advantage</li><li>Advanced knowledge of 3D design program (advantage Creo,Catia,Solidworks)</li><li>Basic knowledge of technical tools specific to the job function: e.g. CAD, CAE, industrial or quality engineering tools</li><li>Basic knowledge of general engineering tools (LEAN or 6-sigma) such as DoE, FMEA, QFD, etc. &amp; Structured problem-solving experience; A3, DMAIC </li><li>Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint</li><li>Innovative idea-generator </li><li>Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, customers, and external regulatory officials.
