Wyndham Grand is now seeking a Manager – Training – Wyndham Grand Manama – Kingdom of Bahrain to join our team at Wyndham Grand Manama in Manama , Manama .
Job Summary
The Manager – Training reports to the Director of Human Resources, and is primarily responsible for delivering and/or facilitating training on a wide variety of subjects to support organizational and departmental goals of the Hotel. The incumbent will also consult with Department Heads and business stakeholders to ascertain knowledge gaps and recommend suitable training as needed. In addition, they will create training (e.g., outlines, slides, handouts); and develop exercises and tests to evaluate that knowledge transfers into desired performance.
This position requires the team member to be sensitive to learners’ needs and business deadlines. There is a need to effectively interact with internal and external customers in a professional manner. They will represent the company standards for knowledge, values and guiding principles.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Learning, Organizational Design, or related field. Experience in hospitality industry (preferably in hotel management roles) a plus. 3+ years of proven record designing and delivering training in a reputed Hospitality organisation. Excellent training delivery and facilitation skills, with experience using a variety of delivery methods and platforms (incl. virtual environments). Consulting experience (as an internal or external consultant). Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with change management, coaching and succession planning.

General Requirements
Must be fluent in English. Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., Arabic) highly desired. Strong comfort in public speaking and leading large audiences across all band levels. Communicate persuasively and credibly both verbally and in writing. Ability to create and modify training content. Strong attention to details and high standards of quality; with excellent organization and prioritization skills. Ability to work independently and take initiative, and follow through to complete projects. Ability to adapt in a fast-paced organization, and an ability to multi-task and accommodate changing priorities, schedules, and processes. Willingness and ability to travel. Familiar with a variety of standard concepts, practices and procedures within the hospitality field Strong team player who can work well with geographically and culturally diverse organization and customers. Demonstrate ability to work under pressure and excel in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrate ability to influence and impact people not in a direct reporting role and at higher organizational levels. Results driven, self-starter. An enthusiasm and desire to advance self and others personally and professionally.
Fundamental Requirements
May lead Hotel Training projects (e.g., review and update curricula, lead negotiation with training/technology vendors). Conduct needs analysis, evaluate learning solutions, design, and assist in the design and development of learning strategies that are consistent with the needs of the organization. Manage calendars, travel, and monthly expenses efficiently and in a timely manner. Follow up with Department Heads, customers and management (e.g., pull registration reports, evaluation results). Act as project lead as assigned by Sr. Management. Work with HODs, external vendors/consultants to fulfil training solutions. Stay abreast of external training solutions, and develop relationships with vendors to augment our training offerings. Share organizational development trends and techniques with team.
