Performs strategic analysis and direction with an influencing role to support growth and efficiency initiatives. Liaises with the business leadership teams to support informed planning, based on sound decision making, segment strategy, financial planning, future trends, new growth and efficiency opportunities and competitor analysis.</li><li> Ensures the strategic alignment of the Company’s strategic aspirations – from marketplace to behavior and identifies the foundations for the execution the overall strategic road map and associated targets.</li><li> Provides a complete range of information support to business managers, including decision support indicators based on targets, actual, assessments to facilitate decision making.</li><li>Creates and fosters a working environment that drives the spirit of Vodafone Oman and reflects the Company purpose.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key accountabilities and decision ownership </strong></p><ul><li>Manages assigned staff at the level determined by senior management.</li><li>Lead the Strategic Management process through the development and monitoring of the company’s growth strategy.</li><li>Conducts thorough environmental, operational performance, enterprise risk, and market analysis to deliver compelling insights to identify competitive and strategic positioning.</li><li>Drive the definition of specific, measurable strategic goals for the company.</li><li>Lead the design of business scaling & revenue growth strategy for the Company.</li><li>Identify emerging areas of interest to Telecom.</li><li>Initiate the overall strategic direction of the company, and to drive key initiatives including growth strategy and operational excellence.</li><li>Contribute to the annual Business Planning process through cross functional data elicitation and coordination and ensures upwards traceability through supporting Business Units articulate their localized strategic plans</li><li>Provide alternative scenarios by modelling and planning business outcomes.</li><li>Adopts a data driven approach to the formulation of all proposals and plans.</li><li>Build the strategic roadmap in conjunction with the business units.</li><li>Drive Strategic Initiatives Definition and Scoping and set-up the right foundations for the execution programs for business development and company transformation.</li><li>Assist with the creation of and metrics of strategies with assigned areas of the Company.</li><li>Build dashboards to facilitate the ready availability of current data to the business departments.</li><li>Design analytical and reporting tools to address specific problems requiring analysis and resolution.</li><li>Support the development of business targets by facilitating the definition of appropriate KPIs.</li><li>Collaborate and cultivate best-in-class approaches to performance management and monitor results across key projects and plans.</li><li>Undertakes similar or related duties as directed by Senior Management</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key performance analytics and interpretation</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Core competencies, knowledge and experience:</strong></p><ul><li>At least 12-14 years’ experience in telecoms, of which 6-8 should be in strategy and performance with an emphasis on performance management planning and measurement.</li><li>Good data science experience is an advantage.</li><li>Ability to lead, innovate and drive, new ideas, and best practices is essential.</li><li>People management skills are essential.</li><li>Experience in business strategy, marketing, business development, transformation, new business & operations with leading Telecom or technology ventures.</li><li>Proven facilitator and communicator that could lead groups at all levels through complex problems with confidence and clarity.</li><li>Strategic vision and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Possess financial acumen with the ability to link and correlated between business strategy/initiatives, operational plans and financial performance.</li><li>Good execution skills</li><li>Strong analytical skills and financial modelling capabilities</li><li>Good interpersonal & communication, presentation and facilitation skills.</li><li>Ability to communicate at all levels of management.</li><li>Ability to cope with deadlines</li><li>Ability to operate in a diverse multicultural, multinational work environment</li><li>A deep understanding of the telecommunications industry, including emerging technologies, trends, and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Excellent Communication Bachelor’s degree in related field</li><li>A suitable qualification in Strategic Business Planning would be an advantage</li></ul>
