<strong>What You Will Do</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Identify new agricultural industry development opportunities specific to the region and develop projects and lead multidisciplinary teams to respond to, and deliver on, these opportunities</li><li> Utilise and develop strategic networks, including within DAF and other state agencies, to deliver a suite of services to help industry and enterprises address supply chain challenges; grow their business and; contribute to the regional economy</li><li> Lead the delivery of regional projects and activities and relevant state-wide initiatives on behalf of the RED Team when required</li><li> Mentor, guide, lead and develop staff in a changing environment to deliver upon rural economic development priorities in the region and across Queensland</li><li> Contribute as part of the DAF natural disaster response to quantify impacts and ensure that agribusinesses in North region recover quickly following an emergency / natural disaster event</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Essential Requirements</strong><p><br></p><strong>What you will bring</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Working in Townsville you will be working in the North Region’s regional office. Staff within your team are based in in both Townsville and Cairns and the Team services projects across the broader region including the North West</li><li> Knowledge of agricultural production systems and associated supply chains, and ability to apply this knowledge for economic growth is critical as a key responsibility of this role will be the delivery of the Queensland Government’s North West Queensland Economic Diversification Strategy Implementation Plan to 2025.
