We are passionate about what we do and are committed to resource efficiency and overcoming the challenges associated with food import dependence, water scarcity, and sustainability.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>FUNDAMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><p><em>Relying on knowledge of the Company’s objectives and goals and together with the direct support of the Maintenance Manager, your duties include:</em>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Following the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, work to standardized maintenance processes to drive down lost time and negative affects to yields, supporting both reactive repairs as well as driving a culture of preventative maintenance&nbsp;</li><li>Complete assigned Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks as assigned, adhering to all instructions whether written or verbal&nbsp;</li><li>Perform reactive troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment to identify and resolve faults.&nbsp;</li><li>Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment such as motors, solenoid valves, relays, motorized valves, etc.&nbsp;</li><li>Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to ensure the efficient operation of electrical systems and equipment.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced technicians as required.&nbsp;</li><li>Diagnose the root cause of electrical faults&nbsp;</li><li>Perform cleaning tasks for technical equipment as requested&nbsp;</li><li>Adhere to all company procedures and policies, suggesting improvement, and following written procedures within the department&nbsp;</li><li>Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours as required&nbsp;</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Education and Experience Requirements</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>At least 5 years of experience as an Electrical Technician, with formal qualifications in electrical engineering or a related field.&nbsp;</li><li>High school education or equivalent minimum (basic mathematics essential)&nbsp;</li><li>Formal technical training or certificate in electrical / electrician trade&nbsp;</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Desirable Knowledge and Skills</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Safe working with electrical circuits and devices&nbsp;</li><li>Highly competent with a multimeter&nbsp;</li><li>Familiar with MV and LV switchgear, SMDB’s, MDB’s and power monitoring&nbsp;</li><li>IOSH (or similar) Working Safely&nbsp;</li><li>Total Preventative Maintenance knowledge&nbsp;</li><li>Time Management basics&nbsp;</li><li>Basic competency in both written and oral English&nbsp;</li><li>Must possess a valid driver’s license&nbsp;</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Additional Skills – Considered a Plus</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Continuous Improvement tools and techniques&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.&nbsp;</li><li>ABB Ability software knowledge&nbsp;</li><li>Local knowledge of repair facilities and trusted electrical parts suppliers&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to understand PLC logic diagrams and perform basic fault reporting with Siemens Step 7&nbsp;</li></ul><p><br></p><p><em>Please note although we are unable to follow-up with each-and-every applicant, we do our absolute best to conduct a systematic hiring process for candidates with whom we identify a potential fit</em></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
