Overview
The Lounge Operations Manager (LOM) is responsible for the overall management and operation of multiple lounges to include full bar operations with all personnel supervision, events, monetary, inventory, and ration control aspects in accordance with the performance work statement. Services shall be performed in accordance with current Air Force Instructions, Golden Eagle Standards, Hazardous Analysis Critical Control Point, Military Public Health, Tri-Service Food Code, United States Central Air Force Area of Responsibility policy, local and host nation policies, guidance and requirements necessary to meet mission requirements. The LOM reports to the Recreational Services Manager and may supervise the following position(s): Lounge Operations Supervisor, Cashier/Bartender, Lounge Support, MWR Specialist, MWR Specialist Lead.
Responsibilities
Major Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the management, execution, and personnel supervision of four lounges and assist the community activity centers, learning resource center, media center and theaters as needed for special events.
- Responsible for communicating and upholding company standards, leading by example, working as a team and providing clean, safe, friendly and efficient lounges.
- Oversees alcohol supply and inventory operations, ensures alcohol inventory/variance reports and Aloha sales tracking are accurate, ensures after event reports are accomplished, enforces safety, quality and performance standards.
- Responsible for the maintenance and condition of the equipment in the facility; ensures submittal and tracking of work orders to completion is accomplished and reported accurately.
- Responsible for monitoring other country nationals in accordance with AFCENTI 32-1002 and obtain escort badge.
- Shall establish and ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained and ensures necessary documentation for purchase requests are completed accurately and timely.
- Develop and submit a 90-day lounge-focused look ahead calendar for lounge activities in coordination with marketing team.
- Shall answer customer feedback in various forms and address comments in a timely, professional manner.
- Shall provide set up and breakdown of Government furnished equipment such as tables, chairs, music system, ice chests, stages, etc.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas.
- Responsible for maintaining a comprehensive, flexible, and properly documented training program.
- Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment and tools).
- Responsible for precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheet.
- Shall perform as supplemental personnel as needed for all Installation Service functional areas.
Working Environment:
- Work will be primarily indoors, but may be outdoors to support various events.
- Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, chemicals may occur.
- Overtime and shift work may be required depending on contractual needs.
- Employee must comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations and published Company work rules as well as written instructions.
- Task specific work environment training will be provided as required.
- Must be prepared to function in a wartime environment to support U. S. interests.
- 100% Overseas Assignment.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
- Must have a High school diploma or equivalent, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
- Must have a valid U. S. Passport and U. S. Driver’s License.
- Must have and maintain a valid U. S. SECRET or Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to deployment.
- Must have capability of obtaining an Air Force flight line driver’s license and capable of driving a manual transmission, CDLA and Forklift driving experience preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
- Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc.
- Candidates must successfully complete both online and hands on CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) defense training. Training includes the successful fit testing of DoD provided protective gear.
Experience:
- A minimum of five years of related experience with operations and supervisory experience. Management experience to include: performance management of employees, completed required reports, and excellent customer satisfaction results.
- Serve-Safe Alcohol and Dram Shop certified.
- Knowledgeable in Golden Eagle Standards and Tri-Service Food code.
Skills:
- Great communication, teamwork, decision making, and customer service skills.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.
- Able and willing to work periods of long hours to meet mission requirements
- Military experience in a contingency environment and knowledge and experience working with government contracts preferred.
