This Opportunity
LBS is seeking a full-time Power Generation Mechanic in Iraq – Al Asad in support of LOGCAP V. Join our team and grow with us as we provide best in-class services that help clients solve their most complex challenges.
Your Impact
Reports to and receives direction from the Power Generation Supervisor. Performs preventive maintenance services and repairs on 6-KW to 1000-KW generators. Duties involve the installation and removal operation of generators from static locations to the power generation shops; to perform troubleshooting; and rebuilds engines; alternate current (AC) systems; direct current (DC) systems; the electronic control systems; and other program logic controls; electrical wiring and peripheral accessories. The Power Generation mechanic will be responsible for maintaining all types of power generation equipment; to include FG Wilson, Caterpillar, Volvo, Cummins, SDMO, AKSA, MEPs and other military (green) design generators. Rebuilds and repair gas compressors (turbochargers) used for forced-induction of generator engines, head gaskets, seals, water pumps, fuel pumps, torque heads, belts and hoses. Also test batteries; check fuel coolant, and oil; process and ship oil samples for analysis. Perform installation of specified new or reconditioned repair and service parts; and make required adjustments and reassembly of the complete unit. Responsible to transports and properly dispose HAZ-MAT and HAZ-WASTE materials to authorized HAZMAT collection point. Daily, moves materials and equipment to work locations and perform, as required. Maintains service records, tools and equipment accountability, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures; including wearing (all) required personal safety equipment. Teamwork driven and actively participate to continuous process improvement in Quality. Safety awareness and willingness to comply with all applicable safety procedures, regulations, and work instructions. Uses all equipment safely Performs other duties as required

Required Qualifications
Must have computer skills and be able to operate a variety of computer programs. Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently Must maintain a valid driver’s license from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment date Must maintain a valid passport from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment date Must satisfy and maintain CENTCOM MOD-16 medical requirements to include COVID-19 vaccinations Must be able to gain and maintain authorized entry onto US military installations. Additional Required Qualifications
3 years of experience working on civilian and or military style generators in the Middle East Prior Military (91D) and or LOGCAP 3 or LOGCAP 4 experience in Generator Department FG Willison Technician certification. Cummins Technician certification. Caterpillar Technician certification. 40 hour HAZWOPER – OSHA certification. Possess knowledge of ability to read and understand schematics, and technical drawings. Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout Procedures
