We’re recruiting a Linux/DevOps Engineer for a reputable managed services provider in Cairo.

  • Manage large scale Linux server environments; handling Linux environment builds, including deployment, administration, networking, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, troubleshooting and production operations.

  • Identify hardware and software technical problems, storage and/or related system malfunctions, and related servers and services across disciplines.

  • Monitor and update disaster recovery plan where required.

  • Troubleshoot database issues maintain database systems availability and scalability.

  • Play a core role in ensuring code updates are planned and implemented smoothly following all operational procedures Install and test upgrades and patches.

  • Deploy, configure and manage large scale MySQL Monitor and optimize these instances to ensure database performance and manage database capacity planning.

  • Work with software application developers to architect, configure, and troubleshoot application servers and the software running on them.

  • Manage the deployment, maintenance, and upgrade process of applications developed by different development groups and teams.

  • Troubleshooting and fixing errors common to applications and application servers.

  • Demonstrated high standard of coding practices including good design documentation and peer code reviews.

Requirements

This Position is an Office Based job 

  • Experience Minimum is 2 Years Linux Administration and DevOps Must have an Expert Base of Linux Administration.

  • Expert in Linux Distributions Administration.

  • Deep Practical Knowledge in Cloud and application Architecture 

  • Deep Practical Knowledge in Migration from on premise to cloud or reversed or Cloud to Cloud.

  • Deep Practical Knowledge in containerization.

  • Deep Practical Knowledge in backup solutions for Linux servers.

  • Deep Knowledge in Machine Virtualization.

  • Solid Knowledge in Mail Architecture.

  • Solid Knowledge in Monitoring tools Ex.(Prometheus).
