Novartis products reach nearly 800 million people globally, and we are finding innovative ways to expand access to our latest treatments.<br><br><strong>Your Responsibilities:<br><br></strong>Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:<br><ul><li> Monitor the implementation of the local laws and regulations and companywide policies.</li><li> Represent Novartis Legal to outside customers, in particular the government and industry associations.</li><li> Support business in the ongoing projects/matters and its related Legal requirements. By acting as a trusted Legal business partner to the relevant stakeholders in the organization.</li><li> Provide pro-active Legal support to commercial matters and working collaboratively with relevant stakeholders.</li><li> Handle legal issues related to business development, alliance management, litigation, corporate governance, and labour law, and manage litigation portfolio and external counsel panel. Ensure external counsel is providing a high-quality service to the organization and ensure panel is set up and managed in the most cost-effective manner.</li><li> Negotiate agreements for the local organization.</li><li> Keeping close follow up for the contract management database.</li><li> Ensure, coordinate, and support appropriate data privacy organization at country level and Coordinate compliance activities with Local Data Protection Coordinators and Global Head Data Privacy, including compliance assessments.<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Commitment to Diversity &amp; Inclusion:<br><br></strong><em>Novartis is committed to building an outstanding, inclusive work environment and diverse teams representative of the patients and communities we serve.<br><br></em><strong><u>Minimum Requirements<br><br></u></strong><strong>What you’ll bring to the role:<br></strong><ul><li> Law Degree Local Language, English.</li><li> 6+ years of experience in Legal practice in-house in Multinational Companies or in International Law Firms.</li><li> Pharmaceutical Industry experience is a plus.</li><li> Strong experience in Corporate Law is a must.</li><li> Litigation and commercial experiences are highly preferred.</li><li> Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li> Persuasive negotiator.<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Why Novartis?<br><br></strong>766 million lives were touched by Novartis medicines in 2021, and while we’re proud of this, we know there is so much more we could do to help improve and extend people’s lives.<br><br>We believe new insights, perspectives and ground-breaking solutions can be found at the intersection of medical science and digital innovation.
