<p><strong>About Us</strong></p><p><br></p><p><span>Decree Tech LLC is an Omani start-up on a mission to empower society with legal knowledge by providing access to legislation using state-of-the-art technology. Decree Tech LLC currently has two products: Qanoon.om and Decree.om. Qanoon.om is a critical source for the Omani legal system that judges, lawmakers, lawyers, and members of society at large use on a daily basis to access Omani laws in Arabic. Decree.om is the biggest and most comprehensive database of English-translated Omani laws available on the internet and it is used by local and international law firms in Oman, as well as in-house legal teams of some of the biggest companies in the country.</span></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Paid Internship</strong></p><p><br></p><p><span>Our two-month paid internship is designed to enable fresh or recent law graduates to gain a deeper understanding of the Omani legal system, develop their legal writing and translation skills, and contribute to solving real-life problems facing access to Omani legislation.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span>As part of this internship, the intern will receive coaching on locating the primary sources of Omani legislation, translating Omani laws, writing short articles, preparing and reviewing agendas for board of directors meetings, preparing and reviewing minutes of meetings, and preparing and reviewing subscription agreements and other legal documents.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span>The intern will also be coached on a variety of soft skills, such as using project management tools and advanced word processing techniques.</span></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Duration</strong></p><p><br></p><p><span>The two-month paid internship is scheduled to take place during the months of June and July 2023.</span></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li><span>Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Criminology, or any other subject closely related to law from the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or other English-speaking countries.</span></li><li><span>Fluent in Arabic and English.</span></li><li><span>Ability to work in a hybrid work environment.</span></li></ul>
