Job Description

HEDES official is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel with UAE expertise in corporate, retail and commercial law. The key responsibilities for the role is in depth knowledge of UAE labour law and managing HR related documentations, policies, contracts and legal works, Construction and land/property Leasing and buying agreements and contracts, handling retails and costumer complains, documenting the retail and company policies, draft and review legal contracts of the company related to the banking, finance and licensing.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and guidance to the company on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, retail operations, and other legal matters.
  • Drafting and reviewing employment agreements, contracts and policies.
  • Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and policies related to sales and retail.
  • Developing and implementing policies.
  • Handling retails and costumer complains.
  • Providing legal advice on intellectual property matters such as patents, trademarks, and copyrights
  • Negotiate with third parties on behalf of the company.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies in the UAE.
  • Manage external legal counsel and other legal service providers.
  • Represent the company in legal proceedings and negotiations, including litigation and arbitration.
  • Provide legal support to other departments and teams within the company.
  • Expertise in Logistics law.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations that may affect the company.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate and retail law.
  • 5+ Experience practicing law in the UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and retail operations.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
