<p>Role: Legal COunsel (In-house)</p><p>Location: United Arab Emirates</p><p>Industry: Heavy Machinery and Equipment Rental</p><p><br></p><p>We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team as an in-house lawyer for our equipment rental company based in the UAE. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience and possess extensive knowledge of administrative procedures in the UAE legal environment. Comprehensive understanding and experience with UAE laws, legal codes, litigation, dispute processes, court procedures, and government regulations are essential. Proficiency in both Arabic and English languages is necessary for effective communication and legal representation.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ol><li>Legal Compliance: Ensure the company’s operations and activities align with relevant UAE laws, regulations, and industry-specific requirements.</li><li>Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate various legal agreements, including rental contracts, lease agreements, and vendor contracts, to protect the company’s interests and minimize risks.</li><li>Commercial Disputes: Handle and resolve commercial disputes, including litigation and arbitration, in collaboration with external legal counsel, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.</li><li>Legal Advice: Provide comprehensive legal advice to internal stakeholders, including senior management, on a broad range of legal issues, highlighting potential risks and suggesting mitigation strategies.</li><li>External Counsel Coordination: Collaborate with external law firms and manage relationships to obtain expert legal advice, monitor progress, and ensure cost-effective representation.</li><li>Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with changes in UAE laws and regulations affecting the equipment rental industry, proactively identifying any potential legal risks or compliance gaps.</li><li>Settlement Negotiations: Initiate and conduct negotiations with involved parties to achieve favorable settlements, while safeguarding the company’s interests and maintaining business relationships.</li><li>Legal Documentation: Prepare and maintain legal documents, including legal opinions, reports, contracts, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and completeness.</li></ol><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ol><li>Education and Experience:</li></ol><ul><li>Law degree from a reputable university.</li><li>Admitted to practice law in the UAE, preferably with a focus on commercial law.</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience as a legal counsel or in a similar role, preferably in the equipment rental or construction industry.</li></ul><ol><li>Expertise in UAE Law: In-depth knowledge of UAE commercial laws, regulations, and legal practices, with a proven track record of applying them effectively in a corporate environment. Must have extensive experience and a comprehensive understanding of the UAE laws and legal system.</li><li>Administrative Procedures: Extensive knowledge and experience with administrative procedures in the UAE legal environment.</li><li>Litigation and Dispute Resolution: Comprehensive understanding of litigation, commercial law, legal codes, dispute processes, court procedures, and UAE government regulations.</li><li>Immediate Availability: Able to commence employment immediately.</li><li>Notarized Certifications: Capable of providing notarized certifications as required.</li><li>Driver’s License: Possess a valid driver’s license.</li><li>Attention to Detail and Communication Skills: Meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively to individuals at all levels of the organization.</li><li>Multi-tasking and Team Player: Ability to manage multiple tasks, work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment, and provide legal support and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders.</li><li>Construction/Equipment Rental Experience: Experience in the construction and/or equipment rental sector would be an advantage.</li><li>Application Requirements: All applicants must submit their CV, certifications, along with a current photo, and provide a clear indication of their employment package expectations.</li></ol><p>Joining our team as the In-House Legal Counsel presents an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable and experienced legal professional to contribute to the growth and success of our equipment rental company while addressing key legal challenges in the UAE.</p><p><br></p><p>To apply, please submit your resume, cover letter and relevant certifications to recruitment@accesshire.ae<span> </span>.
