Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting for a Lead Telecom Engineer to join our team in Dubai.
- Execute work in accordance with the applicable Project Procedures and Standards
- Review the project execution schedule developed by the Cost and Planning Department and to develop the detailed schedule for Telecom Engineering and / or Design activities if necessary
- Prepare telecom design instructions
- Prepare and develop telecom system block diagram
- Prepare technical specifications for Fiber optic transmission & multiplexing, Integrated voice and data networking systems, public address / closed circuit television systems, security and access control systems etc.and all other telecom equipment
- Prepare material requisitions for Fiber optic transmission & multiplexing, Integrated voice and data networking systems, public address / closed circuit television systems, security and access control systems etc.and all other telecom equipment
- Prepare and develop telecom equipment layout and cable tray routing layouts
- Prepare and develop MTO of telecom systems
- Review Vendors’ quotations, prepare technical quotation evaluation and recommend the final technically acceptable Vendor
- Hold co-ordination meetings and engineering review meetings with Vendors of major equipment as required
- All policy matters, major technical problems and unresolved differences with other Groups
- Support the construction team and correspond to the site queries
- Coordinating with the other discipline engineers for all the needs and technical aspect which can affect the design
- Ensuring that all comments are consistent and are included in the drawings according to the applicable procedure
Skills / Qualifications
Skills / Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in engineering
- Minimum 15 years of experience mainly being on oil and gas projects
- Extensive brownfield oil and gas projects experience
