Lead Telecom Engineer

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Lead Telecom Engineer to join our team in Dubai.

• Execute work in accordance with the applicable Project Procedures and Standards
• Review the project execution schedule developed by the Cost and Planning Department and to develop the detailed schedule for Telecom Engineering and / or Design activities if necessary
• Prepare telecom design instructions
• Prepare and develop telecom system block diagram
• Prepare technical specifications for Fiber optic transmission & multiplexing, Integrated voice and data networking systems, public address / closed circuit television systems, security and access control systems etc.and all other telecom equipment
• Prepare material requisitions for Fiber optic transmission & multiplexing, Integrated voice and data networking systems, public address / closed circuit television systems, security and access control systems etc.and all other telecom equipment
• Prepare and develop telecom equipment layout and cable tray routing layouts
• Prepare and develop MTO of telecom systems
• Review Vendors’ quotations, prepare technical quotation evaluation and recommend the final technically acceptable Vendor
• Hold co-ordination meetings and engineering review meetings with Vendors of major equipment as required
• All policy matters, major technical problems and unresolved differences with other Groups
• Support the construction team and correspond to the site queries
• Coordinating with the other discipline engineers for all the needs and technical aspect which can affect the design
• Ensuring that all comments are consistent and are included in the drawings according to the applicable procedure

Skills / Qualifications

Skills / Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering
• Minimum 15 years of experience mainly being on oil and gas projects
• Extensive brownfield oil and gas projects experience
