<ul><li>Lead QA/QC Engineer will ensure that the quality of engineering, design, procurement, construction, installation, modifications of new equipment, Piping, Instruments &amp; Electrical disciplines of Energy Efficiency Projects are consistent with existing onshore and offshore facilities Codes, Standards, Specifications and Company Policies and Procedures.</li><li>Reports to Head of QA/QC.</li><li>Daily contact with Project Execution, Construction, Shutdown Maintenance, Workshop &amp; Support Services and Supply department.</li><li>Regular interaction with Plant Inspection and Facilities Engineering for formalizing the repair/replacement recommendations of critical equipment/ Piping.</li><li>Interaction with Operations department as needed.</li><li>Frequent contact with Third Party service providers for Inspection inside and outside Company facility.</li><li>Interaction with Contractors for pre-fabrication/repair/replacement works.</li><li>Coordination with Failure Investigation and Mechanical testing laboratories.</li><li>Required to develop ITP for new projects, provide technical support to end users in the field of Material, Metallurgy, Fabrication, Welding, NDT, and Auditing.</li><li>Managing service provider contracts related to Project QA/QC section.</li><li>Assessment and judgement on resolving concerns for the planned / unplanned equipment/piping repairs and modifications.</li><li>Ensuring material quality from procurement stage to final receipt at Company facility.</li><li>As defined for this job level in the Delegation of Authority and/or approved budget</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Your Tasks</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Prepare &amp; Implement ITP for Energy Efficiency Projects and perform periodic review of policies and procedures for Projects QA/QC section, e.g., Material receiving Inspection, Control of Welding, Pressure Testing etc. and assist in revision/updating of the same on time including support for various other QA/QC Procedures.</li><li>Supervise the activities of Project QA/QC Inspectors, Contract hired Engineers/Inspectors and NDT Technicians to ensure they follow procedure requirements. Perform the supervisory functions at the level established for the position including ensuring required resources for the plant shutdown activities.</li><li>Perform metallurgical failure analysis on failed plant and offshore components to establish the cause of failure and recommendations. This involves preparation of the survey plan, mobilizing the Contractor, directing, and supervising the activities.</li><li>Provide support to Supply Dept for QA/QC matters related to procurement of material and equipment. Review purchase requisition for Inspection and certification requirements, technical bid evaluation, appointment of TPI and ensuring the inspection of material receiving at warehouse.</li><li>Review and approve all critical Construction/repair instructions, WPS/PQR, QA/QC reports, that are generated by QA/QC Inspectors and Engineers and specify alternative testing and inspection methods as applicable for project execution, construction, repair/modification.</li><li>Participate and provide necessary inputs for Project execution, Construction, Shutdown meetings, Lessons learnt, FRA, EMOC and RCFA from QA/QC perspective.</li><li>Review and provide technical input on the SOW for Energy efficiency Projects’ contracts related to new repair/modification works, performing Technical Bid evaluations for the contracts, review/approve all Contractor documents and ensure compliance to QA/QC requirements during execution including shutdowns.</li><li>Conduct technical audits as per annual schedule on suppliers and contractors Quality Management systems and provide technical evaluation and recommendation. Perform follow up for the observations, corrective actions etc.</li><li>Plan and ensure timely execution of inspection and certification of Gas Cylinders, Portable Tanks and Lifting Equipment as per QA/QC section KPI.</li><li>Promote quality awareness among Project Execution, Construction, Maintenance Support, Supply departments and Contractors through training, knowledge sharing, and procedure roll out sessions.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Your Profile</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering </li><li>Additional Professional certifications in Welding, NDT, Inspection and Auditing.</li><li>8 years’ experience in QA/QC related activities for Oil &amp; Gas industry.</li><li>Proficiency in the field of design, engineering, procurement, fabrication, inspection, and installation of process equipment/ piping with expert in troubleshooting Welding and QA/QC issues.</li><li>Proficient written and spoken English.</li><li>Computer literate.</li><li>Good interpersonal and essential Leadership skills to manage the relationship with key stakeholders.</li><li>Data analysis and reporting skills.</li><li>Ability to work as a delegate to Lead and provides required guidance and technical support to the team.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Our Offer</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Salary:</li><ul><li>Day Rate in QAR Plus Allowance</li></ul><li>Work Schedule:</li><ul><li>8 Hours / 5 Days</li></ul></ul><ul><li>Duration:</li><ul><li>Permanent Hiring</li></ul></ul><ul><li>Location:</li><ul><li>Qatar</li></ul></ul>
