Job Description
Role Purpose: Jobs at this level are responsible for planning and allocating tasks for the Engineering and Design teams, inter Discipline coordination activities, attendance at client meetings, preparation and checking of all project documentation, review & approval of discipline deliverables and vendor documents. Duties and responsibility
• Perform onshore pipeline engineering activities (calculations, design, specifications, stress analysis, buckling analysis etc…)
• Assisting lead engineer in identifying, planning and scheduling engineering and design tasks required within the project
• Ensure that all engineering work is done in accordance with applicable regulations and codes
• Ensure that all engineering work is done in accordance with NPCC procedures
• Provide quality control checks of all pipeline engineering documents
• Participate in project scoping, project cost estimate and manpower estimates
• Provide tender support, raise technical queries, assist lead engineer on pipeline part of the technical proposal
• Prepare MTOs and MRs and other inputs to commercial proposal, and perform technical evaluation
• Perform site surveys, route selection, prepare as-built drawings
• Perform and preparation of: Design Basis, design specifications, Pipeline stress analysis calculations (Static & Dynamic), track load calculations, Hydrostatic Pressure Test calculations, Buoyancy Control Calculations and upheaval & lateral buckling calculation and Studies Bill of Materials Review
• Provide engineering input/guidance for:- Plan & Profile alignment sheets and Overall field layout Typical Detail drawings Hydrostatic Test drawings Horizontal Directional Drilling drawings
• Review vendor documents, calculation and drawing for Pipeline and its component (line pipes, flanges, valves, anchor flanges, bends etc…. )
• Co-ordinate and work with drafting personnel

Skills Required
• Candidate shall have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or other engineering disciplines from an accredited program.
• Minimum ten (10) years of experience in Onshore pipeline engineering
• Familiar with all relevant pipeline codes and regulations, ASME B31.4 , B31.8 and SHELL DEP
• Familiar with industry practices and permitting requirements for pipeline design and construction Experience with pipeline modeling software is a plus
• Self-motivated, strong initiative; effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Leadership skills needed to supervise and assist the technical work of less experienced engineers and designers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficient with computers in an engineering environment.
