Job Description
<p>We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data Scientist to join our team. As the Lead Data Scientist, you will be responsible for driving data-driven decision making and leading a team of data scientists to deliver impactful solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges, develop innovative solutions, and ensure successful project execution. The ideal candidate has a strong background in data science, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for leveraging data to drive business outcomes.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Team Leadership:</strong></p><p>Lead and manage a team of data scientists, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.</p><p>Set clear goals and expectations for the team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.</p><p>Assign projects, delegate tasks, and monitor progress to ensure timely and successful project delivery.</p><p>Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and support professional development of team members.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Project Management:</strong></p><p>Take ownership of end-to-end project management, including project scoping, planning, and execution.</p><p>Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business requirements and translate them into data science projects and deliverables.</p><p>Define project goals, objectives, and success criteria, ensuring alignment with business priorities.</p><p>Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets, and proactively address any project-related risks or issues.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Data Analysis and Modeling:</strong></p><p>Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze complex datasets and derive actionable insights.</p><p>Develop predictive and prescriptive models to solve business problems and optimize decision-making processes.</p><p>Design experiments, conduct A/B testing, and evaluate model performance and accuracy.</p><p>Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI technologies.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Collaboration and Communication:</strong></p><p>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders, to understand requirements and develop effective data-driven solutions.</p><p>Present findings, insights, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner.</p><p>Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration within the data science team and across the organization.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Requirements:</u></strong></p><p><br></p><p>Master’s or Ph.D. degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related disciplines.</p><p>Prior experience with Dataiku ML platform and recommendation engines</p><p>Extensive experience in data science, including data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques</p><p>Proven track record of successfully leading data science projects and managing teams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.</p><p>Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Scala, and experience with data science libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).</p><p>Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases.</p><p>Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.</p><p>Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Experience</u></strong>: 14 to 16 years</p><p><br></p><p><strong>About Capgemini</strong></p><p>Capgemini is a global leader in partnering with companies to transform and manage their business by harnessing the power of technology.
