Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Kitchen Equipment Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting various kitchen equipment used in commercial establishments. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in handling a wide range of kitchen appliances and equipment, ensuring their optimal performance and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Install, inspect, maintain, and repair kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, fryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, and other related appliances.

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and technical malfunctions in kitchen equipment and determine the best course of action for repair.

Perform routine preventive maintenance on all kitchen equipment to minimize breakdowns and ensure longevity.

Respond to service calls and work orders promptly, addressing equipment issues in a timely and efficient manner.

Identify required replacement parts and coordinate with suppliers to procure genuine parts for repairs and replacements.

Keep detailed records of equipment maintenance activities, including services performed and parts replaced.

Follow safety protocols and industry standards to ensure the safe operation of kitchen equipment.

Train kitchen staff on basic maintenance practices to enhance the lifespan and proper usage of equipment.

Stay updated with the latest technological advancements in kitchen equipment and adapt to changes in repair and maintenance procedures.

Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and minimal downtime.

Skills

Requirements:

Proven experience of 3-4 years as a Kitchen Equipment Technician in the UAE, with a solid understanding of a variety of kitchen appliances and equipment.

Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and technical aspects of kitchen equipment repair and maintenance.

Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues accurately to provide effective solutions.

Familiarity with safety protocols and guidelines related to handling kitchen equipment.

Strong organizational skills to keep track of maintenance schedules, service calls, and spare parts inventory.

Excellent communication skills to interact with team members, kitchen staff, and suppliers.

Physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy equipment and perform repairs in a demanding environment.

Valid UAE driver’s license (optional).

Relevant certifications or vocational training in kitchen equipment repair and maintenance is a plus.
