<p><strong>Summary</strong></p><p>The role is to provide expert guidance and technical support in assessing existing building systems, identifying and then implementing impactful technological changes to reduce running costs and lower emissions. </p><p>You will be responsible for evaluating and optimizing energy efficiency and overall sustainability of mechanical, electrical and Plumbing systems in existing buildings. You will work closely with clients and other stakeholders to develop innovative technological solutions that promote sustainable practices and reduce carbon footprint. You will assist with the implementation of those technologies adopted and the assessment of their impact post installation.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><em>Zero Carbon Ventures is open to receive applications for a full-time role, contract or consultancy basis for this position. </em></strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Description</strong></p><ul><li>MEP System Building Assessment- Collaborate with project team to measure, report and record the existing building MEP systems. Assess the existing systems through visual inspections, interviews, and data gathering. Collate and report findings. </li><li>Energy Modelling – Conduct energy modelling and simulation analyses where appropriate. Evaluate the impact of different technologies and changes on energy consumption, gas emissions, and overall sustainability. </li><li>Life Cycle Cost – Assist the project team with the life cycle cost analyses to evaluate the economic viability of the proposed technologies. Assist with the presentation to clients and the approval process.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>University degree in Mechanical/Plumbing or Electrical engineering, with experience in both disciplines. </li><li>Relevant experience in Building MEP systems for mixed use sectors ie Commercial, Residential, Hospitality, retail, agricultural and Industrial. </li><li>Relevant experience in all MEP building systems including: – HVAC, gas installations, water, wastewater, drainage, HV and LV systems. </li><li>Strong knowledge of UAE building systems codes, rules, and regulations. </li><li>Relevant experience with the application of LEED and or BREEAM or WELL Building Standards. </li><li>Proficient in energy modelling software. </li><li>Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving issues quickly and effectively. </li><li>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. </li><li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment. </li><li>Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills</li><li>Ability and discipline to work well within a team and alone.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>About Zero Carbon Ventures</strong></p><p>Zero Carbon Ventures is a young company established in 2022.
