The combined IT and engineering expertise brings a unique end-to-end solution offering, with four service lines – Consulting, Solutions, Talents and Academy – to support clients in rethinking their product development and business processes, improve productivity, minimize time to market, and shape a smarter and more sustainable tomorrow. www.akkodis.com</p><p><br></p><p>As part of our growth in the region and our portfolio development, we are looking for a Backend Developer with experience in Java and especially with Kotlin on KTOR framework</p><p><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Design, develop, and maintain high-performance and scalable backend systems using Java/Kotlin and the KTOR framework.</li><li>Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that adheres to industry best practices and coding standards.</li><li>Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure code quality.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers and product owners, to ensure successful project delivery.</li><li>Ensure that the backend infrastructure is secure, reliable, and scalable.</li><li>Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime.</li><li>Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our backend infrastructure.</li></ul><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.</li><li>At least 4/5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend development using Java/Kotlin and the KTOR framework.</li><li>Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.</li><li>Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.</li><li>Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases, such as MySQL and MongoDB.</li><li>Proficient in using version control systems such as Git.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.</li><li>Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>If you are a highly skilled Backend Developer with experience using Java/Kotlin and the KTOR framework, and you are passionate about designing and developing scalable backend systems, then we would love to hear from you.</p><p><br></p><p>Job location : Dubai – JLT</p><p>Starting date : July 3rd 2023</p>
