<p>The role holder is responsible to diagnose, repair and maintain hardware and software components to ensure the smooth running of computer workstations and software for all employees. The role holder is also responsible to install and configure new workstations, computer hardware and be the primary point of contact for IT support within the company.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Provides technical support either by phone, remote access or site visits as needed</li><li>Installs and configures hardware and software components to ensure usability.</li><li>Troubleshoots hardware and software issues.</li><li>Ensures electrical safety standards are met.</li><li>Repairs or replaces damaged hardware.</li><li>Upgrades the entire system to enable compatible software on all computers.</li><li>Installs and upgrades anti-virus software, firewalls to ensure security at the user level.</li><li>Performs tests and evaluations on new software and hardware.</li><li>Provides support to users and acts as the first point of contact for error reporting.</li><li>Assists with Servers, LAN/WAN technologies, computer repair, troubleshooting software, networks, virus protection and Wi-Fi technology.</li><li>Assists with the design, implementation, and ongoing support of new software and features</li><li>Conducts daily backup operations and manages technical documentation.</li><li>Prepares relevant reports and performs other related duties as required.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li> Bachelor’s degree in an applied technology area such as information systems or computer science is required.</li></ul><p></p>
